Draining ok, drum moves when you turn it by hand,
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This sounds very much like the belt is slipping or the motor is malfunctioning. Belts are not expensive- sorry I do not know how much yours would cost- and are easy to be changed by a competent person:-
REMOVE POWER FROM THE MACHINE AND REMOVE THE BACK.
The motor support bolts should be loosened and the old belt removed. Often putting the new belt on is a bit of a struggle, even with the motor 'loose', because it is new and smaller!
Once on it should be tensioned by pulling the motor against the belt firmly- but not over tight- and the motor support bolts tightened.
ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD ANY FORM OF LEVERAGE BE USED TO TENSION THE BELT. THAT COULD LEAD TO DAMAGE TO THE BELT, MOTOR AND BEARINGS- EXPENSIVE!
If it turns out to be the motor which is malfunctioning, it is false economy to just have the brushes changed rather than replacing the motor. Experience of others is that the brushes may only last months unless, that is, the motor is totally refurbished.
Hope this is your problem solved.
Good luck,

Conditioner drawer not emptying
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This is a common problem with many machines.
I suspect that it is the conditioner/softener tray which needs a thorough clean, paying particular attention to the sentences in BOLD ;-0)
------------------------------------------------------
Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-
- Top catch-
push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
- release the catches underneath (our daughter's Indesit) or
- lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath.
One of these should enable you remove it
(I am having to guess some of the following!)
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner- the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended.
It will normally have some sort of cover over it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. On some models there is just a small individual cap over the tube. The tube is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.
Good luck,
John C
My Hoover Nextra 6 has
It could be anything but one of the most likely things is a faulty door switch. What were the circumstances leading up to the fail ? Have you checked the filter? Is there any water in the machine?
Try unplugging it and leave it off for 15 mins.
difficult without any more clues...
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.
Hi,My daughters washing machine (Hoover Nextra HNL
You should have a drain filter. They do become clogged and need to be cleaned out. If the draine filter is clogged you will immediately know it upon removal and inspection. If this is the culprit, be sure to show your daughter how to access it, remove and clean it and then to reinstall it. This can be quite frequent (8 to 12 months) depending on her environment, like allot of pet hair and things like that. Let me know if this is the culprit. By the way, you are going to have to bail as much water out of the drum as posible unless your model has an easy water shut off just prior to the filter. Otherwise, all the water left in the drum will run out of the filter assembly when you remove it. With any luck the filter is the culprit and not the pump.
The machine will not spinn,
clothes are wet after spinning this is due to faulty Motor coupler. test the motor coupler, re-start the washer in its spin cycle. Let the machine run for a minute, and then open the lid and notice whether the tub is spinning:If it's spinning when you lift the lid, the coupler is fine.If not then the coupler is broken. It has to be replaced;.This plastic-and-rubber component is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. When that happens, you need to replace it completely.
-----------------------
If the washer doesn't reach its proper spin speed, the clothes may be too wet at the end of a cycle. Check to be sure the load is properly balanced and run a spin cycle again. If the clothes are still wet, you may have a worn motor pulley or tub bearing. Replace the applicable component.
Thanks.
The machine will not spin,it
This sounds like a safety issue. The door switch will not let the drum spin at high speeds if the door is not secure. Check the door first to make sure there is nothing obstructing the door. If the door is ok then you will need to most likely replace the door switch. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Power getting to mother board but no power coming
The odds are it is the main board that is at fault, unfortunately, there is no way to test these.
Problem is, if you replace the board, then there cxould still be another fault which caused the board to fail in the first place.
Hope this helps.
Wont spin dry, drum wont empty
Sounds like your pump is bad or you have a belt slipping. Get me the model number and maybe I can give you more detail.
