DENON -AVR-1905 when power on display appears
Dear friend. That means you have to use Large Front speakers with correct impedance The other four speakers are for rear and surround effects and they do not need to be large (or floor standing). Most effects will come from Front speakers. I suppose that this is the problem.
Good`Luck.

Your best bet is to use separate L/R audio cables from the TV and route all your other video equipment through the TV using the best video and audio that the TV and your other equipment is capable of using.
I have my Sony Bluray hooked up through the
Sounds like the protection circuit is activating to protect the output amplifiers. Common causes are hooking up more speakers than are suggested. The only thing I can relate to only BluRay disks could be the sound is more demanding. That would not normally occur. Try lowering the volume and see if that helps. Especially don't hook up extra speakers because that overloads the unit.
Denon AVR 1804
You need to get the manual and do some reading first. I couldn't find the AVR-1804 but the AVR-1803 is avaiable. It should be close enough to get you through connection and setup.

Denon avr-1804 its turns back after 5 sec
Disconnect all speaker wires on back and then turn on. If it happens again, it's most likely a power supply problem. If it doesn't happen again, it was probably crossed speaker wires.
My Denon is in Protect mode, what can I do to
First, disconnect all speaker wires at the receiver and turn it back on. If it stays on, your receiver is ok and you need to check each wire and each speaker by re-connecting them one by one and re powering the receiver. You will either fix the problem or find the problem by doing this. It's either a bad speaker or a wire is shorted in line or at the receiver or speaker. It's the most common problem of all. If your receiver still shuts down, it needs to be serviced. Hope this helps
Unit keeps shutting off
Protection circuit activating. Possibly a shorted amplifier channel or power supply fault. Take it to a Denon repairer

Of your five plugs, a red and white next to each other will plug in to the audio in on your denon (Red is for Right) I would use something like the VCR-3 pair on the left side of the rear panel. The other three, Red Green and Blue are for Video Component In on the denon; Use either Video-1 or Video-2 in the component section on the right half of the rear panel.
At his point, it will be best to look at the manual, because you will have to pair the two items together in the menu system. It takes a little patience but isn't too hard.
Good luck.
No display; No power
Your unit has a hard short in it. This is usually a power supply problem. Most likely the rectifier has failed. This should be a relatively simple and inexpensive repair. Figure on $10 for parts plus the local labor rate.

Stuck on standby
Unit is in protect mode there are a few problems that can trigger protect mode the most common is blown channel (shorted outputs). Did you check the Audio-Video slider button in the middle of the remote? It needs to be on Audio, else the remote sends video channel number signals when you press the numbers.
Size of fuse for Denon dra 697
The Denon DRA-697CI stereo receiver typically uses a 250V, 2.5A fuse. However, it's always a good idea to consult the user manual or check the label near the power input on the device itself to confirm the exact fuse size and specifications for your particular model. Using the correct fuse size is important for safety and to prevent damage to the receiver. If you're unsure, you can also contact Denon customer support for assistance.
