Hello Greg Y, The POP came from the part that is under the big heatsink, That part fails due to heat. I would recommend to add a cooling fan on top of the heatsink to keep the temperature lower and that would extend the life expectancy. Find a 9 to 12 volts source to connect the fan if you decide to install it. Let me know if you need further assistance.

As far as I know the plazma path has begun to fail. The fix is to replace the screen.

same problem with different modles. It worked but only for 5 min. There truely isnt an actual problem from what ive been told. Its both and neither at the same time. TV - res, needs changed and your laptop video card needs a update. Again this is what was told to me by my I.T. guy. HDMI ports do not have this problem.

You can but the connection type is not the problem. If you have Coax cable or antenna type signal you need to put that into a tuner capable of providing the RCA (baseband or composite) video out with RCA audio as well. However if one is going that route with a HD display then the SVHS tyoe connector or even HDMI or some component level cables should be used to get the full benefit of the HD signal.If your HDTV has no Coax input then it is not a TV but a displaydevice more like what is used in computers.

If inside screen has damaged, it will be best to buy a new TV, rather than try to replace it because 2/3rd price of the total cost of a Plasma TV is with its screen itself. Take a wise decision.
