How to change belt on Eureka maxima 4700a

hey i had the same problem with mine, (standing over it and looking straight down) there should be two screws on the top of the yellow cover, one on each side, take those out and the yellow cover should easliy pop off. if the white ink is off the belt or the belt isnt tight than replace, once off just pop the wheel brush (which has the belt around it) up out of its socket and take off of the belt from the wheel brush and motor's metal pole, then put on the new one just like the old one was. let me know how it works out, [email protected]

There is no reset button it as a Thermal Cut OffThis vacuum cleaner has a special thermostat that protects the cleaner in case of motor overheating. If the cleaner suddenlyshuts off, turn the switch off and unplug the cleaner.Check the cleaner for a possible source of overheating such as a blocked hose or clogged filters. If these conditions are found, fixthem and wait at least 30 minutes before attempting to use the cleaner. After the 30-minute period, plug the cleaner back in andturn on the switch. No Suction

This could be a few things. You could have a bad motor in the system, or there could simply be a clog. I recommend bringing it to a local vacuum repair shop.

Check the motor and clean it properly. A very dirt motor will cause no suction or weak suction.
Be sure the motor is running on proper speed, a weak motor will cause a weak suction.
Thanks for asking.

Vac is supposed to have auto height adjustment but it doesn't

If the brush isn't working then its maybe because the drive belt is broken. Locate cross head screws on top of the hood of the Eureka vac (two at the front usually and one below the duster or at the left hand side if looking at the vacuum from the front) Once the screws are undone check to see the drive belt is intact. If its not then replace with a new one and check at the same time that the roller brush is properly put in. If the drive belt is ok then check the brush roll - something may have jammed it if it isnt the belt. Dont forget to rate please.

The vacuum only allows the

This is usually caused by a clogged air flow. Start with making sure the filter is clean.
Check behind the filter, at the inport hole. This is a common place for clogs to form, then back up into the hose.
Detach the hose at both the tank and powerhead. You may be able to see a clog at either end. If not, hold one end up and drop a coin in. Lift hose so coin drops through. If the coin doesn't exit, there's a blockage. You can clear it by using a broom handle to push it back through.
Check the powerhead where the hose attaches. If a clog isn't visible, drop a coin in the opening. If it doesn't fall through, the clog can be cleared by using a wooden spoon handle, or similar blunt object, to push it through to the brush and out.
For additional troubleshooting, see the manual located below.

The roller stops when I start to use the vacuum.

no. The auto height adjustment has nothing to do with this. Sometimes on these units the belt will stretch even just due to normal use. It is recommended that you change the belt at least once a year. Twice a year if you are a pet lover.

Good luck
