Red lamp 20 seconds after start

Before dismounting, I had the fabulous idea to clean for calcium (I don't know the word in English). Each 20 seconds, process stopped with red lamp. After 20 cycles (20 seconds pumping, error, 1 minute waiting, reset), problem was solved. Afterward, a complete clean cycle, and that's all.
May the force be with you,
Jean.

Blinking red water light on SAECO ITALIA with full tank of water

Your tank may be full but water is not getting into the system. The only way for the red light to go away is to have water come out of the other end...either the coffee spouts or the steam wand. The word they use for this is "pump priming". Thus, either the motor is not sucking water in or there is blockage. Unless water gets out to the other side, the red light will stay on. Before getting dirty with the system, check the tip of the steam wand...if old milk is blocking that end. You will know this is the case when you turn the steam knob counter clockwise to release water but you only hear a semi-startup on the motor and then abruptly stops while the steam knob simultaneously pops out a little bit. It indicates a "blowback"...that there is blockage at one end of the pipe (ie steam wand). Get the residue out by dipping the wand in a tall glass of hot water...wait for a few minutes and blow it out with using the steam knob. Should be ok after that.--Mabada1

Ours does not finish cycle either!!! The machine runs through the cycle up until the point where water should enter the "brew group". The coffee doesn't come out. What shall we try?

I just fix that problem by opening the water flow meter by some coffee grinds, also had a little coffe grind jamming a check valve that is at last of the water pump flow, now is running pretty well

Hello: I have a

Holding the handle, the top left side is the brew head. There is an outlet pipe (rubber tiped) that exits the front side towards the door. 2 screws hold it to the top. Remove the 2 screws while holding the manifold. Once they are removed, lift the l assembly off (becareful, there is a spring and inside a steel ball (don't loose it or your out of luck). Turn the brew unit upside down while holding the brew head in your other hand and the steel ball should fall out. If it doesn't come out put a towel down and tap the brew unit on the towel. This should force it out.
Now remove the brew screen, by holding the screen with your finger and twisting the thumbscrew (remember thumbscrew, DON'T use the key to install the screen, use your fingers.....
Once the screen is out look at where the screen was. There are 2 holes. 1 big one in the center and a small one to the side.
Now use air to blow back through the opening where the steel ball was to clear the opening. Once its open, clean then reassemble. Brew unit on towel right side up. Drop the steel ball in first. Then the spring.
Then place the manifold on top of that with the pipe towards the door. Insert your screws (I turn them backwards a little with a little downward pressure until they feel like they drop into the threads. They should turn down easily, if not back them up a little more ( we are trying to find the old threads) and tighten. Install screen, and tighten with your fingers. The screen just needs to be flush with the bottom of the brew head.
