Hey there! Sounds like you have a clog somewhere in the vacuum. Try removing the hose completely from the cleaner. Use a broom stick to gently loosen and remove any clogs from the hose. Use a wooden spoon to break up and remove any clogs from the lower hose area. Also check that your bag is not full and your brushes are still spinning. Hope this helps!
Either the carbon brushes on the motor need replacing or the thermal cut out is activating. That might be because it is faulty or because there is not enough airflow over the motor.
Overheating motor causing an automatic shutoff. This is most commonly caused by an air passage that is plugged by hair or dirt.
