Fix this shredder
The unit is probably clogged up with a bunch of shredded paper. Unplug it ! Clean out the paper using fingers and a knife to get most of the paper clips and paper out then plug it in and run forward and reverse. That's what i do and it works every time.

Will not shred
I work with Fellowes machines so I am not familiar with this brand but it sounds like an issue similar to our safety interlock which tells the machine the bin is in place and ready for shredding you may have to contact manufacturer about this unless someone else here knows if your unit has a switch similar to this.

Ccs-1500
The solution is to remove the paper bin, and dig out the jam.
1. Unplug shredder
2. Remove paper bin
3. Lay it on it's side or back
4. Dig out all the paper around the teeth
5. Put paper bin back in and plug in
6. Should be good to go

Achiever Shredder CC5-1500
I personally work with Fellowes brand shredders, but it sounds like you have a paper feed sensor issue. This may be a mechanical or electronic sensor located in the center of the paper feed slot. If it is electronic it may just need cleaning(qtip dipped in rubbing alchohol. If it is a mechanical sensor check to make sure it has not been broken or it may be stuck because of paper that has become wedged behind it(you may need to jiggle the switch a few times to free it). If none of this works you may have a burned out switch or a bad
pc board, contact manufacturer for more info.

Need help putting wires back for switch
It's simple. The switch should have 2terminals . The wire that goes to the plug gets connected to one terminal and the wire that goes to the motor goes to the other
