It wouldnt be worth tring to fix it if its 4 years old....I would get a new one.

Software issue. Use a newer joystick and all will be fine.

All the manuals and drivers are on the Saitek Website, very easy and straightforward to find and download what you need. Just make sure it's plugged in to a USB port.

Isn't the panel support within the flight software itself? In which case it would be either in options or preferences. Saitek's software downloads are basically for controllers.

Since it isn't officially supported by windows, you'll have to use 360 emu or xpadder. Or many other alternatives, Use google, good luck.

the x52 drivers are problematic to begin with... ...but sounds like your computer is trying to boot on that device (as a primary/usb/H.D.) you either need to edit your boot options or reset the devices accordingly in your bios... if your not familiar. . .DONT EVEN BOTHT...cuz you could wind up doing more harm than good ...tampering with your bios is tricky business (that even some of 'US' big boys have fried some processors, boards and even drives...!!! lol) so my honest advice to you if you're uncomfortable and unfamiliar with editing your system files (regedit/sysedit) &/or bios...ask a friend?! best of luck...
