There is not air coming from the vacuum to the
Hi bpayne01,
If the vacuum still does not seem to be sucking up dirt, there are a couple of other things that should be checked.
--> The first is the hose. Twist and pull it from the inlet and unwrap it from the machine, checking its length for obstructions. Should the hose appear to be clear, move on to the nozzle guard. It is attached by five screws, which can be removed using a Phillips-head screwdriver.
--> Look for obstructions beneath the guard, taking out the brush roll if necessary for a closer look. A worn brush roll will need to be replaced. Check the belt as well, and if it appears worn, remove the nozzle guard, slide the belt off and replace it with a belt of the same type.
Check the Container and Filter
--> Depress the latch to remove the container from the vacuum and, turning the lid counterclockwise, pull the filter upward and out of the container.
--> Empty the dirt container and clean the filter. While the vacuum is disassembled, check for any signs of a clog where the container latches into the vacuum cleaner.
--> There is usually a secondary filter, which actually is set in a previous stage to the filter you just pulled out. Its main purpose if to catch hair, small nails, wire, and other material that could damage the more visible filter. If this filter is clogged then that will explain the loss of suction. Pull it out and clean it. An exhaust filter is located typically above the motor. Its purpose is to prevent fine particles from being blown about. It should be cleaned as well. With the filters clean and the hoses and passage ways clear, you should be good to go.
--> Reassemble the unit, and ensure that it latches properly into place to allow for the correct airflow.
Hope it helps.
