Well if you are tied to a particular network all you have to do is call up the customer help line of the service provider and ask them for the unlocking code, which will be provided to you for a nominal amount of money.
You can also get the unlock code through online..........i will suggest the website. which is doing good service .....you can approach this website.

Turn it to headset or speaker off.

Ok, there are two possible reasons for this:

1: you accidently hidden the icon, solved by going into the main menu and pressing the Blackberry key followed by show all.

or

2: Go into main message envelope, Blackberry key then folders. If SMS folder is not there then a factory reset is required.

Thats Options > Security > General > press BB key and wipe handheld. the password is blackberry

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues.

if you remove the battery and replace it back into the phone does it reboot?
You may just have a bad battery.

If you go into the sms/mms/messages folder, press the key with all of the dots on it between the green phone button and the ball. This will pull up a menu and you should see something regarding create message.

Its a software problem. You will have to reset the software. To do this you will need Blackberry Desktop Manager and your specific model (7100i) phone software which you should be able to download from your carriers web site. Once you download and install these two things, simply connect the phone to the computer, open desktop manager, click on application loader and update the unit.

you can used boost on certain blackberry phones, on yours you can because I have the 7100i on boostmobile. email me at [email protected] and i will tell you how.

there will be an option in the phone that to wireless get turned off after some time. try to find that option and turn that off.

oh i had this issue a few days ago what had happend is i tried to load a new theme and it locked up ,ok here is how i got around the problem download the latest desktop software 4.7 and then plug you phone and do a load aplications here you will reload the software but make sure that under options you check to erase all the softwares then just reload and it will be back up.

I had this same problem some time ago. I called Sprint support and they told me I needed a new battery. Replacing the battery worked for me.

AT&T and Sprint are not compatible services.
AT&T is a GSM Network
Sprint is a CDMA network
The phones are not interchangable

You will have to get a cdma phone for sprint
