If you have little to no suction, that sound is happening because you most likely have a clog some were in the vacuum.
smell is probably your motor over working itself do to the clog.
also double check your belts on your brushes that they are moving with the motor. smell and sound could come from the brushes being jammed which would cause the belt to freeze and heat up and could burn the belt and or your motor.
if it is still running though your not in the red yetm so triple check that the machine is cleared off all clogs and jams in the belts and brushes.
Water won't come out
There are two common reasons for this. First is that you have a broken attaching lug on the wheel assembly. Look at the bottom of the machine and check for breakage at the rear of the wheel assembly where it attaches to the base. Less commonly, the upper tank will fail on these units and will require replacement.
Do you put water in the big compartment under the
You put water and Hoover Cleaning Solution into the top tank. Push down on the release button at the top of the tank just below and in front of the handle. The cap is also your measuring cup. Fill it with the Hoover Cleaner Concentrate. Pour that into the tank and fill it to the fill line with warm water.
The dirty water will be extracted into the bottom tank.
Motor runs, but noisey, smells hot, brushes don't
First you need to check why the brushes are not turning, this could be due to a lack of suction, which means the smell of heat and excess noise is due to a faulty motor, this can also be tested simply by testing the units suction power.
A faulty motor is the most comon problem when it comes to smells of heat or 'ozone' as well as excessive noise. Good Luck.
Can you take the Swivel Sweeper battery pack apart
Yes you can if you have a way to cut through the plastic outer case,(I used a Dremel rotary tool). Inside you will find six double A Ni-mh batteries. I found eight of these for sale on ebay for around ten bucks, then all you do is solder some wire to the batteries like the original battery pack and tape up the case and charge.
The SpinScrub scrubs the floor beautifully, but
First make sure that you are getting suction from the bottom of the
machine. Most of the time the squeegee is worn out which does not allow
it to pick up the water like it use to. Turn over the machine and
inspect
the squeegee. If it looks worn or bent then it may be time to replace
it. You may also consider replacing the filter. These are the two most
common parts that wear out.
