Wash cycle not completed

Lights 1 and 3 indicate that the filters are blocked. Check water flows through the spray arms onto the cutlery - indicated by wet cutlery. If dry - recirculation pump is probably blocked

Makes running water noise still from top part when finished run

The sound of water flowing might be coming from the hard water regeneration unit which will operate sometimes after the wash cycle is complete to clean and regenarate the system. Make sure the salt levels in the container are adequate.

Powdery **** left on dishes after wasing

If you live in a region with hard water, dishwasher detergents don't work very well anymore. The govt outlawed phosphate as an ingredient in detergent. Weird but true. Look at this map to see if you have hard water. If so, try cloudydishes.comhttp://www.citriclean.net/why-citriclean/

My Hotpoint BFI680 dishwasher trips

This is caused by having a dryer element, if you are able to get to the back of the element look for where the wires connect to it, I am almost positive the element is bad, always turn off the power when looking at any electrical unit to service , if not sure use a tester, you should have zero volts at the connection box near lower right hand side near floor. you can get this element from here if you have all the information on this unit, http://www.appliancepartspros.com/ you can also email me at [email protected] good luck
