Reddy R155D Utility Heater - Page 3 Questions & Answers
115 000 BTU Diesel or kerosene// fuel psi 5.3///
There should be some sort of fire eye on this, either a visually operated sensor of a thermocouple that is reading the temperature of the flame. If it senses no flame it will shut the unit off so you don't get poisened by fumes.Does it re-set when you try and start it again or do you have to push the reset button, either way it needs to be re-set before operating again. I suspect that this sensor is causing your problems. These units also have fuel pumps, this may also cause the problem, hard for me to tell without seeing the unit.
Is R155D the same as PRO155 ? If so , fine ....
You wrote "Is R155D the same as PRO155 ?" Answer- Yes, The R155D is a pro 155, BUT so are many other 155's and not all use the same technology. The newer ones are computerized, the older ones are not.

Machine runs for a few minutes and cuts off like
The heater runs for a few minutes and quits. You must find out whether the problem is fuel related or electronics related. Judging by your brief description of the problem you have a fuel delivery problem of some sort and since the heater is on you bench you must troubleshoot it. The procedure is simple but you will need to borrow a "low pressure gauge" from a friend. These heaters are very particular to having the correct air pressure setting. And that statement is no BS!

Hi i am having with my moter starting if it set
This motor does have a capacitor but it is wired in series on the black leads of the motor.
You can get the complete motor for $90.00 at
MS Service but I am not sure if they carry the capacitor.
You could ask the technical service and see if they have it.
Will notdo anything power light is on
Remove the top shell of the unit, see if the glow coil
tries to light up, if it doesnt you either have a bad outlet connection or the glow coil is broke
Starts to run. Then pops CB in about 2 seconds.
Hi, when a circuit trips that quik, it indicates a dead short somewhere or even a motor drawing way to much amps for the breaker to handle. If this heater is a forced air type, try and find the wiring that controls the blower motor and disconnect it for just a few minutes to test it. You may want to do this with other control componants one at a time, just by- pass each one by unplugging or disconnecting each one and start it. If the breaker holds when you do this, you will then know which part is causing the breaker to trip. Keep me posted on your progress.

I have a rinnai cosy glow 650 when i push the
The cosyglow heaters have 2 thermocouples in series to sense flame and keep the thing going. If either of them is split, cracked, or even dirty, it will not stay alight. Get it serviced/checked out by qualified people.

Ignition problems
what kind of ignition is it? spark or hot surface igniter? the photocell just detects the flame. it causes the controller to go into lockout if it doesn't detect a flame. a hot surface igniter uses 120 volts to operate, again off the controller.
