I have seen this issue MANY times before, what I can recommend for this exact problem, is to Reset to Defaults. Which will delete all your Downloads/contacts/saved info. This option should be located in menu-settings-security, password should be 000000 unless you have modified it. the option will either be, Restore Defaults, or Reset to Defaults.

do this, it should prove very helpful, go to messages then you can delete any messages you want, with the address do same thing. Let me know how it goes, Thanks

For this direct problem there is a list of things that you may do, First and the most obvious, power cycle * turn off and on * this normally fixes this direct problem. Now if that one has already been tried, what you need to do is call customer care, to make sure there is no outages in that area, if none, do a master reset, the steps for this is, " menu-settings-advanced-connectivity-master reset-Password=000000 ** unless it has been modified **-Master reset pick YES-when it says "caution see manual" either enter OK on the phone keypad, or OK on one of the Snake eyes, ** the two dots on the top of the keypad. To find the SIM ID * sim card number *
What you can do is one of the following things,
1. Enter the following in a fast succession ** which means really fast -lol- ** :
#, * , Menu , Right Arrow ( right arrow = ----> )
if you don't know which is the MENU, it may look like 2 small phone books, underneath the left arrow,
2. Take the SIM card out, by removing the battery, and the SIM ID # normally starts off in " 0008 "

Hey, Andre, Now the main issue is, most i730 are not available for call tones, it's normally Sprint phones, that offer that service, unfortunately you wont be able to get any adjustments for not knowing, but here's a heads up....don't do it, Unless you call into customer care, to ensure your phone is supported by call tones, now ring tones is a different story, basically about 95% of Nextel phones are compatible for that service, but if you have Sprint Or Nextel phones, you will have to call into care, or if you are registered on Sprint.com, You can add a "feature" to your phone that will allow the call tone. Personally I have had a lot of issues with call tones on the nextel side, so honestly, if you want a call tone....go get a sprint phone :)

go to net in the menu and go to text messaging and you should be able to go form there

take off the back and take out your battery...then to the right you will see a little slot in order to slide it in all you have to do is slide the sim in whatever way it fits

behond the battery

I have found that if you press and hold the power key when turning on the phone, it can activate the airplane mode. Try to press and release it when turning it on to stop this problem.

The I730 is not compatible with bluetooth technology. I still have my I730 though, it was my first and can't bare to get rid of it even though I don't really use it too much anymore.

Your minutes expire after 90 days you have to reboost by calling 1800BOOST4U from another phone

You can only use SMS messages on that phone. Go to web and select text messaging, in order to use text.

Use a T-6 Torx Bit.

Lets see using your phone dial your 10 digit nextelpersonaltelephone number (ptn) follow the sistem instruction to create a new 4 to 7 digit password, record your name and record a greeting, it will say "Thank for use..etc,etc, and you got it...good luck
