Phone Not responding
I'd suggest removing the battery and putting both the phone and the battery in the fridge over-night. If it works the next morning, this might suggest a thermal-fault in the memory and I'd advise keeping it in the fridge when you're not using it. Otherwise, you could seek help at your local phone store or you could send a email to sanyo asking for help and alerting them to a possible flaw in the phone.
Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.
Sanyo MM-8300: ALL the keypads are frozen and won't work. Any solutions?
One thing you could test for is a thermal-fault in the phone's circuitry. To do this, you put your phone in the fridge over-night then, turn it on the next day and try the keypads while it's still cold from the fridge. If that doesn't help and you're brave enough to venture into the inner-workings of your phone to attempt repair/cleaning, you can read my post here- keys won't work on sanyo mm 8300 phone.
Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.
Sanyo SCP-8300
I'd suggest a new battery, if money is no problem but otherwise, if you have a volt-meter of some kind, you could read the voltage output of the charger and compare that to what it says it should be in the input-output list usually printed on the underside. If it's fine, I'd try carefully cleaning the phone's battery and charger contacts with a small amount of rubbing alchohol and some cotton swabs or tooth-picks lightly wrapped in toilet or tissue paper. If it still refuses to work, you could see if a sales-clerk at your local phone store would let you try a new battery to see if it would work. Otherwise, you could attempt internal repair/cleaning like I outlined here- keys won't work on sanyo mm 8300 phone.
Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.
Keys won't work on sanyo mm 8300 phone
I used a very small eyeglasses-repair flat-bladed screw-driver that was the same width as one side of the tri-angle screw head to remove the screws on half of a sanyo scp-8300 phone that I found on the road. I do advise caution when releasing the hidden plastic clips around the edge of the phone where the seam between top and bottom is. Once open, you will find a ribbon-cable that leads to the top half of the phone, a rubber pad that has all the keys on it, and the phone's circuit-board, where there is a white plastic sheet overlaying the actual physical buttons mounted on the circuit-board. My advice would be to gently clean the rubber key-pad with warm water and dish-soap. Also, check for sticky gunk around the edges of the key-holes in the plastic case of the phone, if you find some- carefully wash it off with a wet tissue or a cotton swab, use rubbing alchohol if it won't clean off. But, be aware that some plastic can melt or turn gooey when cleaned with alchohol, or it might just remove the color from it. Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.

First, you need to remove the battery and any flash cards, then you need to dry the phone (NOT WITH A HAIRDRIER!). To dry the phone, you should bury it in a bowl full of those moisture-absorbant "do not eat" packs that come with shoes or other purchases. However, these are often not available. Instead, use plain white rice (dry) to bury your phone in a bowl. Leave it for 1-2 weeks (the longer the better, up to a month) and one last thing, if it was removed from soapy water, as odd as it sounds, it should be fully rinsed in clean cold tap water. If it still won't work after all that, you could try a data-retrival place (if you can pay for it!). Hope this helps, WolfIan.
Keys will not work
Sounds like you locked the keypad.
I know you stated all the keys don't work, but let's give this a try.
Press the "unlock" key (the key in the upper left)
Enter your lock code (usually 0000)
Let me know if this helps.

Phone Book Not Alpahbetical
Here is the link to the user manual if you need it;
http://us.sanyo.com/wireless/handsets/downloads/MM-8300UsersGuide.pdf
(Sorry is the US version, hopefully the bits we are dealing with are the same)
Check page 53 of the pdf (page 37 of the manual), the numbers should automatically alphabetise, there is no setting to change. you can store up to 300 contacts, so possibly if you have exceeded this limit, the others are being stored in another part of the memory. If so the only solution is to thin your phone book out a bit.
Check page 161 of the pdf (145 of the manual) for info on updating your phone, try this in case it is a software bug that has been fixed by an update. (even if updated recently, try again, the latest update could have caused the problem).
Check page 106 of the pdf(90 of the manual) and try the reset - this doesn't delete the contact list, so is probably worth a try, but fairly unlikely to make any difference.
Here's the link for the troubleshooting guide from sanyo;

I couldn't find anything else in there but you might have more luck.
If you need to contact sanyo direct, your closest is in NSW;
http://www.sanyo.com.au/
They may be able to tell you something not in any of the documentation, and where to get it serviced if required.
If you connect the phone to a pc and have the phone book synchronised with something on the pc (MS outlook or similar), then you may be able to swap them around from there.
I searched a lot and couldn't find anyone else with the same problem.
Hope this helps :)
Powering it Up
if the battery is full charged. Just hold the Power button On untill u get a screen.
Good luck
Scp-7050. Where is SIM?
I don't think that type of phone uses a Sim card. It uses a separate network system used by some commercial businesses.
