Only takes on cold water will not take on hot when

If it is a hot and cold fill washer with 2 seperate inlet hoses, and no hot is entering, then either the hot inlet valve is faulty, or the valve is not getting an electric feed to it.
Make sure that the programme you select is ahot prog, as many of the programmes are3 cold fill only.

Cant remove top of front loading washer

Remove the four screws at the top rear of the top panel that go through the hinge brackets(bare metal in color), then lift up the top panel and push toward the front of the washer while lifting, it may take a firm lift and push, work with it and observe how the top and sides are connected once you have lifted the rear of the top panel. Good luck !

How to remove back from machine

There is a small cover at bottom rear of washer, this is the only access into the washer from the rear.
Simply undo the pozidrive screws, and remove cover.
Any other access is from the top, or by removing the front panel assy.
Hope this helps.

It seems that the drum is spinning off its axis

When a front load washer does not spin properly, the problem can be caused by failed axle that connects the pulley to the wash drum, or failed shock or (possibly) broken suspension springs.
Remove washer top, inspect the two or four springs holding the washer drum up. The whole drum should be able to "bounce" a little, when you press down on it.
Remove the lower front panel and with a flashlight, inspect the two shock absorbers. Both should attach up to the wash drum, but it is common for them to break, especially if the front load washer has been moved from one house to another without re-installing the lower brackets and the long bolts that secure the drum during the move.
If the springs and shocks are not damaged, with the top removed look down into the rear area. You will see a large pulley with a belt on it. If you see brown/black grease marks all over or obvious problem when you try to turn the pulley, you have found the major problem.
Please get back to me with what you find. OK?

My 13 year old wma58 makes a lot of noise on spin rinse

To be certain if it is the main bearings, remove the lower rear panel of washer, remove belt, and spin drum from the front.
If it feels rough or is rumbling, then the bearings have failed..
If no noise from drum then it could be noisy motor bearings.
At that age, it certainly would not be cost effective either way.
Hope this helps.

Why does my washing machine trip the electric

run the machine, after it trips, unplug and carefully touch the motor,it may have a bad capacitor, or dry bearings causing it to draw excessive current,if these 2 things are not it, then look for a bare wire that may be touching case during this part of the cycle, and if you can get an "Amprobe" it reads current and check machines current draw during the start to trip current
