Hotpoint Aquarius WMA42 Front Load Washer Questions & Answers
Hotpoint WML540 stops mid cycle, end of rinse
maybe the concrete balancing weight has come loose and the fact that most of the water has been drained off when you turn it off for 10 seconds it does not have the one-sided affect anymore also check the damping springs as one may have come off in the violent spin eric

My dum is making loud noise when spin,s
sounds like possibly a sloppy bearing causing the drum to wobble excessively nothing can be done to avoid this other than change the bearing. always assuming your load isn't seriously out of balance of course.

Washing powder compartment fills up with water
It's probably just caked with powder or conditioner and needs cleaned. Your handbook gives instructions on how to remove the drawer. Alternatively the dispenser to drum inlet hose may be blocked and some hot water may clear that.

Door lockedshut with washing inside
Disconnect from the power socket. Leave for 5 minutes.
If still not opening, ensure it is not plugged in and remove the lid by unscrewing fixings at the back and sliding forward.
Catch can then be released from inside casing by sliding lock bar.
Will need new door interlock assembly.

Hotpoint 1200 wd62n banging noise when loaded but ok when its empty ?
There are many reasons that this could be noisy...
When you turn the drum (quickly) when it's empty does it rumble? Bearings, drum support or motor bearings.
If it sounds like a pneumatic drill when filled and spinning it could be drum support, bearings, balance weight or suspension.
These are not an exhaustive list but the usual suspects.

Howto test pressure switch wmf740
Hi, if you have located the right switch then heres how to test it.
UNPLUG THE WASHER from the mains.
On the pressure switch you should see a plastic pipe, follow it down away from the switch and disconnect at the other end.
If all is quiet in the room, blow hard down the pipe and you should hear a click, this is the switch changing and if you have a continuity meter on the wires you should see it switch on and off.
These switches rarely fail so i suspect you have trouble elsewhere.
