Either your computer is not showing any video, or your monitor is toast. In my experience, 95% of the time, it's the computer. Might just need to re-seat the memory or something simple like that. Or it could be the power supply.

I think the problem with your monitor is that, the picture board on the monitor is malfunctioning that is why it keeps going blank after a minute.

What you need to do is to replace the picture board on your LCD monitor, replacing the picture board will solve the problem, because the picture board on the monitor at the moment is bad and will need to be replace.

Replace the picture board and you will see that the problem will not repeat itself again.

Take care.

your monitor may not be switching on due to. 1 plug or socket loose or wire fault or not properly connected to computer. 2 there might be problem in power supply. 3 if it is ok there might problem in hor. section. it is not a major problem & can be easily rectified by skilled tech.

windows 7??????????????????????i went to hp.com and there is only XP and W7 support on this 12 year old pC, this is A FACT.what OS is there.?in the run box, type start run, type, WINVER,(ENTER)BINGO OS , TOLD NOW, if windows. of Linux say LINUX.!"I Installed .synaptics drivers " you said.from where? HP.com w7 or XPor from the 1million infected driver websites from H3LLor from maker synaptics.com or?where ?now my longer answer for only w7 ok.1: be internet connected first are you, on bad PC. MUST BE.2: in device manager go to mouse and pointing devices. (conrol panel (CP) click Device manager)see Synaptics there , and right click it and and choose uninstalll device.3: now reboot PC, by start + shut down.4 off it is.5: push power button 10 seconds and release (resets PC)6: go to step2 above make sure synaptics looks happy there. does it, no errors?7: now go to CP + mouse and check all settings here.on HP they are not simple, some have 2 drivers working there for synaptics pad, one for the pad and one for buttons.only HP.com drivers work, for sure true on all my Eitebooks here.use only HP.com drivers. no others. or it will failand the driver needs to match YOUR UNSTATED OS.I sure hope you did not get w10 here. it does not belong here.NO OS TOLD why in the world post lacking such a very very key fact, why>??after all Drivers match OS.
