Hp w1907v monitor switches off after being switched on

It sounds like defective capacitors in the power supply/inverter.Unless you are experienced in electronics be careful repairing.Check for bulging electrolytic capacitors, bulging capacitors indicates they are defective. But a bad capacitor doesn't always bulge to indicte it has failed. Replace all cheap capxon capacitors, with low ESR rated capacitors from Digi-Key, Mouser, Allied electronics or Newak electronics.

Not turning on

Well, in this case I'd advice you to give a little more information about your problem. But anyway, this could be a result of a dry joint or a burned fuse. Open up the monitor and check on the motherboard(where you connect the power cable), take your good time and look for any burned capacitor, resistor or fuse. Again check for any loose or dry joints

Removing OSD lock

hello there
please try this ok?
start by pressing and hold the up arrow key for 20 seconds.
If this does not work try this. turn off the monitor and unplug the power cord. and press and hold button 1. if this monitor has this button, Plug the power cord back in. You might need to press the power button while still holding button 1.
The OSD lock should clear after that.
also the main menu on the monitor will have functions that will help you turn off and on this feature just go to the main menu and scroll thru the options ok?

How to get rid of osd lock which appears

Hold the MENU button for ten seconds to unlock or lock the OSD.

This information is from your manual for the L194WT:
OSD LOCKED/UNLOCKED
This function allows you to lock the current control settings, so that they cannot be inadvertently changed. Press and hold the MENU button for several seconds. The message "OSD LOCKED" should appear. You can unlock the OSD controls at any time by pushing the MENU button for several seconds. The message "OSD UNLOCKED" should appear.

Please rate me if this solution works for you

I encountered no image on

You might be displaying a resolution that is out of range for the monitor.
Try booting in safe mode and switch to a lower resolution or different refresh rate.

Hello, MY ViewSonic N3250w LCDTV

It may have bad solder joints, failing components such as bad DC filter caps which is very common to this model as shown in my pictures here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/VIEWSONIC/Viewsonic%20N3250W/

Or you can Google the power supply problem with this model.

So the power supply module will be the first place to check.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools, electronics knowledge, and know safety precaution then please read on: Basic troubleshooting guide here: http://www.fixya.com/support/r5093881-lcd_flat_panel_tv_troubleshooting_guide http://www.fixya.com/support/r6150077-basic_lcd_monitors_troubleshooting http://www.fixya.com/support/r7406380-tv_training_manuals Failed TV and Monitors pictures: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/ Learn about bad caps: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague Parts: www.shopjimmy.com Parts: www.interliquidparts.com Capacitors kit: http://lcdalternatives.auctivacommerce.com/Default.aspx he can make you a set of caps. Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.
