Panasonic camcorder dv
This problem is in the owners manual. It says that if you press reset and the problem keeps recurring you must have it serviced. Per the panasonic website if you purchased the camcorder greater than 1 year ago the flat fee for repair is about $265. Buy a new camcorder, thats the most cost effective solution.

Tape don't pop up
a reset error is not repairable if you do not have exsperience with this. If this unit is showing a reset error there is either a fault with the lens or the tape mech, looking at your fault the mech is faulty and only a qualified panasonic technician is going to be able to repair this.

Blue lines in play mode
This is not a problem with the tape but the camera. The only way to fix it seems to be to find an empty spot on the tape or a spot you don’t care if you record over. Then record for a second then go to video mode and you can play the tape without the blue lines. Or buy something else to play the tapes which should be fine either way. Darn camera !

Open the side door where the video scren is, and it's a tiny little gray button you have to push in with a pencil or pen all the way on top, above the soft skin and multi/p-in-p button!

Video download
Connect it to your computer with a supplied USB or Firewire cable and use the software supplied on CD with the Digital Camcorder.
If you have a Firewire cable, but nowhere to put it, you'll need a Firewire card or a Firewire adaptor, which can be bought from most computer retailers.

Blue bars across video
I have the same problem with my PV-GS14. You have to find the last spot you recorded in, pause it, then switch to record, and just record something for a couple of seconds. Switch back to playback, and it should be fine.
Neonlaundry, I read your other posts, and it seems we both have the same problems. If you find a solution, please post it. Thnks.
