OK... I know this sounds odd and all... but all of the components (elements in the oven specifically) have to be installed and working correctly for the oven to operate properly.
Most people don't know this, but even when the oven is turned off and sitting there peacefully waiting for something to cook, there is
STILL 120 Volts at one of the terminals on the element. Know what that means? That means that it is constantly (always) powered up! It also means that it is a necessary component involved in applying 220 volts to all the OTHER (cook top burners anyone?) components.
So... to take care of this and to bring you oven (and cook top) back to life, ya gotta go get yourself a new element and install it. OK?
Do you have the model number? If you do, give it to me and I'll look up the part number for you, deal?
