this is easy, that OUT OF range means the PC sending video is sending and illegall higher resolution than the projector supports (or even less, on this old junk) the manual on that old projector is clear on that. max.SONY VPL-EX4 2007, 13 years old now. and back then projectors STINK ! your manual shows this, and stinks.what stinks worse is no matrix of legal H./V resolutions shown in the manual. (shows only 1)so set the PC to 1400 x 1050 and do not use others . ok.and 60Hz, are you in USA? not stated country.

The push-button activates a small motor that turns a small rubber belt/ band that opens the cassette door. Since it's not been used for 10 yrs, I would say these belts would have deteriorated and broken. you will need to replace them. the best bet is to open it up and check. if its the case, you should be able to source the belts on ebay.

Hi, Looks like you are having a bad LCD screen, This could be due to drop damage. Cracks can be so tiny and may not be visible immediately. I would take it to a technician and get a screen replacement.

Might be motor-boating. Used to be a fairly common fault with older less sophisticated circuitry. The cause could be anything from a fault in an interim power supply to stray feedback causing an oscillation with a low speed harmonic. Considering your description it could be the latter - impedance mismatch maybe, between the external mic and the amp input...

hello Mr. chan, (CC) is the BT in a US B port or inside the PC. most PC made for sure old ,(no model stated so answers will be wrong ) the BT is an option on all PCs mostly old. if missing INSIDE we add it outside on a USB port a dirt cheap fix. ebay this USB Bluetooth. VAIO goes back to 1996, surely you can tell what model you have and what OS it runs. next. windows what? 2007 they started offering BT as an options with wifi card.

Oh my god i had this problem with an old apple G4 desktop. Mine used to belong to a chinese girl. You could try and change it in settings, but basically i had to factory reset my G4. Do a web search for your sony and see how to reset a Vaio, or if you have the xp install disk, you can reinstall the program again like new. Sounds hard but really after you decide which repair/restore program you want to use, then all you have to do is follow the on line instructions. They usually show you one step at a time. Very often with a camera that old with battery types that it uses there is a problem the contacts that must touch the battery when it is inserted. I use WD40 Contact Cleaner and have had good results, simply rubbing both the contacts in the camera and also the contacts on the battery. I am certain you have checked that the batteries are indeed fully charged. I am also guessing you have made certain the battery is installed correctly...many Sony cameras can have a battery installed "Upside-down". And I am curious if you have tried the USB charger.
