Can you restore all settings from the menu?

The problem may be a loose connection. When I turn on my monitor, the green light blinks and a flickering white screen appears for a brief second every time. There must be a loose connection on the power board which may be causing this. The easiest solution is to tap at the back of the monitor. This will reconnect the loose end and the monitor will work fine until it gets disconnected again. I will open my monitor soon to find the real problem. But it will take some time to find it.

Look for cold solder joints in the power supply board (at the main AC inlet and in the DC supply and inverter sections), see example of faied DELL monitors here: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

The 32bit color has nothing to do with monitor driver, that the video card driver issue, it sounds like you do not have correct driver for you video card.

three things i find to cause this,

one, the power supply is bad,
two, the power connector is lose or not push in
three, the heat sink on the processor has come off. This will cause the cpu to over heat and self shut off.

to test the power supply, pull the connector off the mother board and short the green wire to any black wire with a paper clip, this will switch on the power and see if it stays on.

if you need to replace it, you cannot use a regular atx power supply. E machines have a different pin out.

sounds like a video card problem in your pc. If you are using the onboard video output on your motherboard, you probably need a new one. If you are using a card that has been added to the board in a slot, try your onboard output (looks the same)

Someone has probably changed the brightness settings. Increase the brightness and see if this resolves the issue. If it does not then I would assume that the monitor's backlight is a toast and you may have to install a new backlight.

An out of date BIOS can cause this error code. From Dell Drivers and Downloads website download and Install the latest BIOS. If prompts you to update the previous version, you must first update the same and then flash to the latest version of BIOS.

It alway zs helps to know the model number. Witht that information, you should be able to find the specifications at the Dell support site. It would simply tell you in a specs sheet. I guess you could download HWinfo, a handy freeware program and check informaiton about components there. There is of course the option to download the user manual.

This may be due to a bad cable between LCD screen and laptop. That of course would require replacement of that video cable. There are some other things you can try before that: q) update the BIOS 3) go to the Dell site and update the drivers 3) ho/ Buld the D key down during powerup to initialte a screen test (if it fails, you may have a motherboard problem) 4) you can try a re-imaging drive recovery operation. Gur the problem may require replacing the wiring harness betwen the laptop and the LCD screen. https://www.blogarama.com/technology-blogs/1295362-dell-technical-blog-latest-news/23538451-fix-inspiron-error-code-2000-0321

It would apear you have either an optical drive issue or system board failure.
If you changed anything before this issue, change it back.
