I have a Hitachi DVD

If it sat around for a while, it likely got some dust buildup on the laser lens that reads the disc. You can open up the disc slot and clean the glass laser lens eye with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab.

Inherited a Hitachi VMH39A 8mm

The heads on these devices are delicate, and can be easily broken by cleaning, especially with time. There are many articles on the net about tape cleaning, but if you've never done it before, you might check with a camera repair or tv shop to see what they would charge. Check a few- prices can vary greatly, and expensive doesn't always mean better.
Here is a cleaning tape you can order if you choose to try that:

Good luck, hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa.

I have a Hitachi Camcoder

Well you are indeed going to have trouble obtaining that. You see this is one of us engineers biggest problems. Spare Parts.
Usually a manufacturer doesn't "Hold" parts for more then 12 months.
Plus one needs a Service manual,or part manual, in order to obtain the Special Parts Number that identifies that particular part to the manufactures parts provider. Without this number it is almost impossible to obtain the part.
The ONLY shots you may have is AL Try looking, Asking on eBay.
Or Contacting Hitachi, and you may need to try a few, around the country, and ask for a Service Manual, I have searched on the net, but cannot find any.
Then if you locate a manual glean the parts number, and then go back to Hitachi, and try to obtain the Part.

Or maybe a better bet would be to contact an Hitachi, local or head office, and ask for a referral to an authorised service center, and let them attend to it, they will be able to actually GET spare parts, original ones, also they will get them cheaper too.
Of course before you allow an repair to proceed ask for a "Quote" before hand, this way you know whats what.

I need the software of my hitachi dz-gx20...

Dubai, wonderful place. However, you left your cd there. I looked on the Hitachi website and it said that you should call customer support for such questions. I didn't see any downloads for it online, just instructions.

I've put in the cam different disks and it always

There are tiny fingers in the cam, that read the disks. They can become slightly oxidized, over time, with condensation. You can try to spray some electrical contact clean on them, then get inside with a qtip or soft (lint free if you have it) cloth on a plastic knife, or anything that will fit inside to aid in the cleaning. Otherwise, it can be a bad solder trace on the card holder, or a problem with the microprocessor. The only way to know for sure if your camcorder has the problem, is to verify the disks in another machine, or camera. Your camcorder will have to be serviced, if cleaning can't help it.
Here's one more thought. Read the 2nd review on this webpage, it explains something that might help you:

Good luck, and hope this helps.

My Hitachi 8mm Camcorder VM-H835LA

This is what I would do> I would clean the heads on this camera not a easy task but can be done very carefully. Seems the heads are a bit dirty and need a cleaning. Now you Can do this yourself with some head cleaner or have it done for you at a camera shop for under $25 bucks. Other then that and if its not that it could be a tracking issue now these are auto tracking so if that needs to be fixed I am sure it can be tuned up for under $40 respectively.

I received an error message ''Error occurred.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. As the Disc has gone corrupted due to non-finalizing of the Data you can try and use it on another Camcorder and finish it on the PC through USB by using Nero, Roxio or any other data recovery software. Once finished you can copy it on DVD and recover it. If it does not resolve the issue, then you’ll need to buy a data recovery package to recover the data from the corrupted disc. They will charge around $19.99 for 30 day license, and $34.99 for full license. Some of these websites are given below---

Hitachi Data Recovery and File Transfer

Camcorder Data Recovery

CD Roller Data Recovery

CnW Recovery Software

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

The software does not work on windows 7 is there

Hello:

I am not sure what software you are trying to run, but you might need a firmware upgrade for the Hitachi Camcorder, But if you are trying to run a third party software program, try running the software in compatiability mode or administrator mode.
