Sounds like you've replaced everything but the backlight itself!
If you have another working unit, connect this LCD panel to the working unit and see if it works. If it's still dark, you need to replace the FL tube (backlight(s) ).

My FPD1950 Gateway Monitor quit

It does the same on another PC?
First thing to look inside the monitor will be the DC filter caps (bulging tops) which is the common failure in LCD TV and Monitors.
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed GATEWAY monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/ Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Hello. If you can try removing the back cover of your monitor, then you can reset it to default setting. Unscrew the stand of your monitor. Use a plastic flat screw driver to detach the back cover and expose the main board of your monitor. On the board, there should be a small reset button. Plug your monitor and turn it on. Press the small button on the main board to reset it to default setting.

My Gateway FPD1950 Monitor Will Not Power Up After Being Moved

Here's a link to the HP support site for your monitor, where there are instructions for troubleshooting this problem. But check first to be sure you haven't inadvertently switched the power switch on the monitor off. Then try another power cable if you have one, try plugging directly into the wall instead of a power strip, etc. Jiggle the cable connection on the back of the monitor.
Here's another article that may help you to determine if the monitor has in fact gone bad.
I hope not, as I have the same monitor and have enjoyed it for its clarity and resolution...But I once had a power supply go out when I moved to a new room. Doesn't make a lot of sense, but it happens, I suppose.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Gateway monitor model Fpd 1950

It's probably cheaper to get a new monitor than it is to get a logic board. If Gateway can even get you such a thing.

Good luck on that.

Dead monitor

Make sure the monitor is connected to the right video graphics card. This will happen if you are using the wrong one. Because at one time someone added another graphics card. Move the computer and put the monitor cable back in the wrong port on the back of the computer.

I have a Gateway LP2417 monitor and there's No sound.Hoe do I fix it,so I can hear the video that is playing?

This monitor may not have built-in speakers. It may have supported Gateway's monitor mounted sound bar. That sound bar connected to the 3.5 mm audio out on a computer and a DIN port on the monitor. The simplest solution is to connect your source to appropriate speakers. Depending on your audio setup, you could connect the video source to a receiver with HDMI IN and HDMI Out (ARC), computer speakers or an audio extractor. (If you are using an HDMI cable between the Gateway LP2417 and a computer, you may need to reset the audio output to use basic computer speakers (3.5mm jack).) VGA and DVI connections don't support audio so I assume you are using the HDMI port. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Do i need a driver for old gateway gmax2000 speakers connected to an old acer-based home built pc my nephew gave me?

No you don't need a driver. These are very plain powered speakers that come with a mains adapter and a lead with a 3.5mm stereo jack at both ends. Plug one in the speaker and the other into the headphone jack on the front or the speaker socket on the back which will either be a socket on the motherboard, or if your son put a sound card in the computer, it will be in a sound card. If it doesn't play straight away, go into Settings - Audio and make sure the sound card or the On-Board Audio is enabled. Gateway / Packard Bell EASYNOTE MS2291 Laptop will not start.

Question edited for a lot more clarity, FULL 'make, model (what it is)'. Question moved from 'Power Computers'. Connect a computer monitor to the port on the back. When I Google the model number the first thing that shows is Replacement LCD Screens for it which leads me to believe there is an issue with them. There is three parts to the display, the video card section, the exciter module and the screen itself. It needs correct diagnosis, or buy a new one now you have reset it clean, if that is what you mean by 'hard restart'? You might mean 'hard boot', power off and back on without proper shutdown. That is bad for the OS. https://www.google.com/search?q=Model+MS2291 Keyboard shortcuts for shutdown

I have a Gateway Laptop that on startup only goes to the configuration screen. It won't boot Windows at all

They deleted the Operating System by deleting their own stuff Docs, images, Saved Links etc. and also everything in Windows System probably in spite. You need to reload the operating system (Win 11) from fresh. Charge them from their final pay check, or ask IT to do it.

I need a gateway laptop recovery cd

Gateway does not provide recovery CDs for their laptops. Instead, they provide a recovery partition on the hard drive that can be used to restore the laptop to its original factory settings. To access the recovery partition, you will need to press a specific key or combination of keys when the laptop is first turned on. This key or combination of keys will vary depending on the model of laptop you have. You can find instructions for accessing the recovery partition in the laptop's user manual or on Gateway's

I have a 2017 Gateway All in One Pentium Model zx6980 Push power button monitor comes on faintly No signal HD something. Will not boot

It sounds like there could be a few different issues going on with your computer. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the connections: Make sure all cables and connections are secure and properly plugged in. This includes the power cable, monitor cable, and any other peripheral cables.
  2. Check the monitor: Try connecting your computer to a different monitor to see if the issue is with the monitor itself. If the other monitor works, the problem is likely with your original monitor.
  3. Check the hard drive: Disconnect the new SSD hard drive and try booting up the computer without it. If the computer boots up successfully, there may be an issue with the hard drive or its installation.
  4. Check the battery: As you mentioned, the issue could be related to the battery on the motherboard. Try replacing the battery with a new one and see if that helps.
  5. Try booting into safe mode: If the computer is still not booting up, try booting into safe mode by pressing the F8 key during startup. This will allow you to troubleshoot any issues with your computer's software.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to take your computer to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.
