How to transfer the video

You have to have a cable to go from your Camera to your Computer. The computer side will undoubtedly be USB. The camera side will probably mini USB - but could be different based on the camera. You might need some drivers on your Computer so that it recognizes the external device (camera). If your lucky - it will "find it" on it's own. The cable you need probably did not come with your camera - as manufacturers have become increasingly cheap. See picture of Mini-USB Cable. Another option is popping out the memory card and either inserting it into the memory card port on your computer (alot of laptops have them) or getting an adapter (Memory Card to USB) - see picture. Size of adapter will depend on the memory card. fix-pfqfubebwx02nrot3fbp234w-1-5.jpg

How can i transfer videos from my sony ccd-trv107e handycam to my computer

Not sure, but I always disregard the manufacturer's software and instructions, and just connect a usb cable (if there is a way to do that) and then on your computer the storage of the camera comes up as a hard drive. Whatever format the videos are in, those are your originals, but you can use ffmpeg (a great command line tool) to change them to any format you like, as the video format of some cameras may not play in things like windows media player, or other players that use old codecs. If you don't want to convert your videos, you would probably find that whatever format they are in they will play in vlc which is free and open source, as an alternative.

SONY TRV22E - BLANK LCD and cant see through viewfinder

Hi, I called Sony support center in Sweden (my home country). They told me that it's probably a failure in CCD-ship. In such a case, Sony takes the fully responsibility and will repair it without any fee. You only need to pay for one way mail transport. Tobias Rundgren Karlshamn

Cannot playback hi8 ccd trv107e pal

Dirty video head! Playback newly opened blank tape for five minutes, after that eject, reinsert, playback then eject again five times, these will serve as your video head cleaner, never use "video head cleaning cassette tape" for it will only damage your camera. Most camera has built in video head cleaner installed inside and activates only when you insert, initial play/rec, and ejects a tape. If the problem is still there you need pro fix then.[:0)

How to capture video from

You can get videos from this camera, or any analog video source, into a computer. You just have to play them into an analog video interface port. These are available as expansion slot cards for a PC. They will come with software to digitise the video input and record it to a file. You don't need any "driver" related to the camera, it is just a video signal source. The connecting leads will be standard RCA signal plugs, like the ones you use to connect to a TV or VHS recorder. You probably already have a lead for this.

How do i fix the pixel on my handycam

If a pixel is missing in your imager you have to replace the imager with the ccd board, 2 parts you have to order and solder in . If a pixel is missing on your flip out display you will have to replace the lcd panel. You will not need your solder gun on this repair. just a small philips driver. take your time. the ccd job will not about 30 bucks cheaper than the lcd job which is roughly $100 or so in parts. Get them at andrews electronics. Larry's Electronics. 916-362-8708 [email protected]

Hi8 sony time code camera

Unfortunately solution #1 is incorrect. Many Sony Hi8 camcorders had the ability to store timecode information on the tapes. My TR3400 is one of them. It is not stored in the same way as the newer digital cameras, but it is there nonetheless. It is not permanently imprinted in the picture either, it can be turned on or off at will during playback if you chose to date stamp your footage when you took it (it was optional). See this list for a partial list of cameras that did support it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rewritable_consumer_timecode.

I have had my hopes that the Digital8 cameras could provide the required translation to DV timecode, but I keep hearing conflicting reports, typically the answer is no. There is a third party product that was created to help solve this problem though: http://www.octochron.com/faqSonyHi8RcTimeCodeDataCode.htm. It is not particularly cheap but if you really need the timecode it looks like the only real alternative at this point. I have not used it myself yet, but may have to as well.
