No image in the viewfinder
The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective flexible ribbon connector between the LCD and the camera body and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it’s not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

first have look on your battery may be they are finish maked test by a tech if they ok its probly from your power charge circuit in camera, or the pwr pack...

Something going on with the mechanism most likely.. It needs to be looked at, might need the mechanism replaced, or a more minor mech repair.

No picture on my JVC GR-D72US
the ccd image sensor of your camera is the
problem...i know it is free for replacing that sensor..that trouble is
also in sony,canon,samsung and the other cameras brand cause the
manufacturer of their sensor is only one company that why they recall
it from the batch of 2002 to 2004..log on to the jvc costumer care to
see all the detail...

Use a head cleaning tape - ONCE. Do not re-use head cleaning tapes.
