Touch screen is not working although i am able to

This is usually caused by a defective LCD / Touchscreen module which is no longer available from Sony at a reasonable price. However, I have a limited supply of them as well as an aftermarket supplier.

I cannot eject the Cassette

This can be caused by several problems including a defective eject switch in the cameras internal circuitry, a stripped gear or a bad motor. This will require disassembling the camera to diagnose and repair. This can usually be done fairly inexpensively but it's not really a user serviceable problem and should be repaired qualified service technician.

I have a laptop with e sata port, How can I

You can't use the eSATA port for this purpose.

The good news is that this is one of the few Sony mini-DV cameras that can transfer video through the USB port. Most such cameras have to use Firewire (what Sony call i.Link) for this.

There is a Sony tutorial page for downloading video to computer at THIS LINK

You will need to select Windows or Macintosh as the operating system, then Mini-DV as the camera type, then select the type of connection. As you will see, the USB option warns that it won't work with many cameras, and you are strongly recommended to use i.Link (which everyone else calls Firewire), however, the DCR-HC40 is on Sony's list of cameras that WILL transfer via USB.
