Chanel is a French perfume maker. Usually, when discussing audio, we refer to channels, a totally different beast. But, since you capitalized the first letter in Chanel (which would make it a proper noun), maybe you really are referring to the perfume. Does your HandyCam have nostrils and Smellovision? I just can't keep up with all this new-fangled stuff....
I have a Sony Digital 8 and when turn on it has a
error code c:31:22, means that a reel of the unit is faulty.thats the part that turns the tape.issue could be difficulty in playing back.ff or rew.try to reset cam (make sure cam is on,press a very tiny button on the panel where all the buttons are,near the right side of the speaker) using any fine-tipped object.if it doesn't work,try using diff tapes.if still no go,remove tape,turn cam off, remove batt (make sure ac adaptor not connected), and leave cam w/o any power of at least a minute.if still it doesn't work,service may be required.thanks :)
GETTING A ERROR CODE
All, I think I have the solution. Out of frustration at this error (I'd had for a few weeks) , I slapped the hell out of the camera. Can you believe that it started working? Suggested it to an other friend that had the same issue and it worked for them too. I looked around on line and it seems someone else discovered this before me. It works...every time.
The cam will only record for 6 seconds and stop
The circuit boad has a weak capacitor not holding enough voltage to run the camera. It can be repaired although purchasing a new one outweighs the cost oost far less of repairing the old one
What does C:31:22 mean?
Per the manual
C means you can fix E means professional service needed.
21 is moisture condensation. icon of rain drop in a box will flash on screen unless moisture in lens Eject tape let sit 1 hour or more to acclimate
31...manual says to eject cassete and reinsert, operate OR daisconnectpower cord andremove battery, reconnect, operate.
How can i edit the video if i finish filming
Assuming that you want to do your video editing in the PC rather than on the tape.
1.Your PC must have video capture device(either built-in or add-on).
2.Properly set your video editing software to able to capture video form your device.
3.Connect your camera to your PC in regular manner,like when you connect it to your TV.
4.Have your camera in PLAYBACK mode.wind the tape to the beginning of the footage you want to capture.
5.Open your editing software.turn on capture mode.
6.Start capture.At the same time,start playing back the footage on the cam.
7.When all footage were captured,click stop capture.
8.Start your editing work.
9.when complete,save it to some uncompressed video format like *.avi for later burning to DVD or converting to other format.
For beginners,I recommend Windows Movie Maker video editing software that should come bundled in almost every computer.It's fast,simple but effective enough for home-movie work.
BTW forget the old-school Linear Editing (on the tape) thing.It's slow,complicate and much less flexible than Non-Linear method.

your friend ' s possibly ? bad tapes ( do not
rewind it - or the gunk will be redeposited ) ;
if still no video , get an estimate to have your
heads and guides cleaned . . . professionally ;

Sony DCR-DVD200 camcorder not turning on after trying to fix it.
The best thing you can do now is to take it to a specialist and get them to do the repairs. Camcorders have a lot of electronics in them and can be easily damaged if your a not an experienced repairer. You might also have to consider that this camcorder might not be repairable.
