LG Flatron F700P 17" CRT Monitor Questions & Answers
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

the Flat Screen TV if has, a HDMI input, also has VGA Input.
You must choose :HDMI or VGA, if HDMI The VGA board must Have HDMI Connector, and you connect a HDMI cable to the TV.
The HDMI is a digital signal input/output, VGA is Analog Signal. You must have Signal Converter if you Use the 2 signals

There should be several philips screws on the back panel. (WARNING: Because you are opening a CRT, there is a extremely high voltage coil on the back of the CRT in the center. DO NOT TOUCH THIS WITH ANYTHING as it is DANGEROUS if you do.) With the exception of possibly a power supply fuze which you should be able to see next to the power transformer (where the power cord comes into the CRT case), there ARE NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. I recommend you buy a cheap LCD screen to replace it and dispose of the CRT through a recycling program. I hope this helps you.

Hi dileepkvpodu,
This indicates that the morning has started malfunctioning , and we can expect this after 5 years of use.
However make sure that you don't have the monitor in a place where there is a lot of moisture as it could happen that during rainy season moisture gets collected on the board and it will then have this scratching sound as a result.
If you have changed the place of the monitor , make sure you have it changed back to the original place , as this could be the reason.
If the above step does not work then you need to get to the local service station and get the chip replaced which is responsible for these noises, it's usually a small chip which creates this problem.
Hope this helps ..:) In case you have any problem , get back to me i would love to help you out...

If you know some electronics. Then open unit and look in the vertical curcuit for bad capacitor near vertical chip. This is happens because the heat break down capacitors. Also something a little easier the vertical height is set to high. Call the manufacturer and see if a company tech can guide through the procedure.

Did you try to adjust with front pannel switch?
If the switch not working then change the micro switches.
Check the width boost capacitor (Polyster cap. 1.5Kv / 1.8kv / 2kv etc) in Horz. section
Check the SMPS voltage for Horz.
