No, it will cost you more than that to come to the door and parts and labor on top of that. It sounds like you have a defrosting problem which will freeze up the evaporator in the freezer compartment and not get the proper air flow or the fan motor is not turning which will cause the same problem.

sounds like a clogged defrost drain tubing. in order for that meltwater to travel underneath the fridge and evaporate, it has to travel through a series of tubing devices. you have a clog somewhere in the tubes, so instead of underneath the fridge, the water collects inside or elsewhere. You will have to follow the path and determine where the clog is located. You can reply here or send me a question from my website:

HOTPOINT FFA70 FRIDGE FREEZER
I had this problem and it was fixed relatively easily. Get everything out of your fridge freezer and switch it off overnight to allow it to defrost.
In the bottom freezer compartment there is a panel behind the draws which you can remove but you will need a special tool from a DIY shop. Its like an allen key, but with a star shaped end.
When I got the panel off I found that the filament was covered thick with ice even though it had been off for hours. No wonder it wasn't working properly. I melted this with a hairdryer. You want to take your time with this as you could easily damage the freezer if you try chipping the ice out.
Freezer works perfectly now and is very quiet.
Hotpoint FFA70 - Freezer door will not close properly.
The rear panel can be removed,i have done it.I removed the 4 hex head screws from the top & bottom of the panel, and firmly pulled it forward. The reason i say pulled firmly is that when panel came out the back of the freezer was solid with ice.I have defrosted the freezer, dried any water from the unit and replaced the panel.Fingers crossed,so far,so good.In my case this build up of ice was definately the reason the drawers were not sitting in the correct position,as it caused the rear panel to 'bulge' out.Hope this helps.....

Freezer struggling
it might have a leak with the refrigerant and the compressor motor is having a hard time. Time to have it checked by a qualified tech if it's worth it
Same Problem Twice
Yes, the card should last longer. You should verfiy that your electrical voltage is appropriate, and also make sure the unit is grounded properly. Voltage spikes can and do burn out electronics, you may also want to consider install a surge supression system on your electrical system
Fridge freezer has stopped working
. The most common problem is a bad start relay on the compressor. In rare cases the compressor may be bad. If you are mechanically inclined you can replace the relay yourself for less than 50 dollars. You will need model and serial number off of the unit and order the part by those numbers. if the compressor is bad you will need to hire a good service company
