My lg monitor always turns

The CPU should not turn itself off, it should run without the monitor attached, you can try reseating all the cards and memories, blow out the dust built up inside the box and the power supply. Please post back what you find.

How can I disable analog

Hi,

This is a com problem with this Model.

Hi, the reason couse you get this error is couse you have both the Analog and the digital cable connected between your new screen and computer, remove the Analog cable (often the blue one on LG screens) and only use the Digital (Black one often on LG) and your computer should be fine.

LG have big problems with their Analog cables if you ask me, they never worked with my computer.
Try remove the Analog cable and tell me if this worked for you.

If not, more often you need to send the unit for repair.

Good Luck!!

Thanks!!

Lg flatron Wide keeps going into analog power save

Does it do the same with other PC, if it does , then you need to open up the monitor and inspect the power supply first, look for caps with bulging/leaking tops, very common failure.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed LG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

I double clicked an icon and the screen went black...

Try it on another PC first, if it still does not work then you will need to open it up, most failures are in the power supply section due to bad caps (leaking/bulging tops)

Hi
Depending upon your operating system: Right click on an open area of the background screen. The goto to settings or display settings. From here you're going to want to change the display resolution or display size to match your monitor. Experiment with the different sizes until you get the one that's right for you.

How to open (remove back) Omnitech Vw19B LCD Monitor

You are right about the problem on the flourescent, but the issue is caused by the mosfet transistors. You need to use a flat screwdriver to pry the back of the display until you get this open. Start from the bottom side because some damage will be left on the plastic.

LG monitor not working.

More likely to have failed capacitors in the power supply section, that will be the first place to check. Please see the pictures here so you know what to look for inside, post back what you find so we can guide you further and it will help other people also.

Monitor wont power back on,

Hello Adam,

You have a monitor with a power supply that is failing. The most likely cause is capacitors on the power supply board. We have an article posted on our site at: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/capacitors/ That explains what they are and what you need to get to repair the board. If you don't want to do the repair yourself then we do offer a repair service, more information on this can be found at:http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/service-request-form/ If you have any questions please contact us thru our web site.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Screen goes black

check leads and make sure computer hasn't turned it off because of power saving settings, or your graphics card hasn't failed then try it on another system and if still a black screen call LG as they exchange units pretty efficiently.
