5 - 6 years difference is ok, once both parties are about 26 and 21. But a 20 year old dating a 14 year old is not to cool. Ether way, older boy or girl, there is a since that the older one can't communicate on their own level. If the younger of the two is far more mature for their age they will miss things that happen when dating a person of their own age. The mom and dad of the younger of the couple will loose some control; being the older one will feel as they can handle things on an adult level. It will be hard to set boundaries that the older one will stick with, but the younger should live by. Such as in by a set time, homework, projects for school. The older of the couple will push for their time "alone" which will take from the younger of the two tending to their duties. Sorry, put your foot down and save a lot of drama in your future, just say "NO, NO, NO".

It is not initially obvious how to access this insides of the monitor Unusually, access is only available through the front of the screen. The stand cannot be removed on this model. You need to pry a screw driver (or two) through the four holes located at the rear base of the monitor and remove the front panel surround. The LCD panel and all electronics can be lifted out after removing four screws.

Reduce the brightness level on the monitor, sometimes correct problem. The most likely cause is by the inverter transformer, and monitors usually have more than one.

It seems to be a problem with the inverter board, some inverters send out the signal in two halfs, signal for right hand of the screen and one for the left, it seems the left side electronics have failed, the only way to look for any blown componants is to take the back cover off and have a little route around to see if you can see anything suspect, the reason i say the left side has failed, is because if you look at the board with the screen face down, the right side of the screen would become the side of the board. have a look and get back to me, the other option is to replace the inverter.

Since the warranty on the monitor has expired, it's time to responsibly recycle the old monitor, and buy a new one.

Hi,

If everything else works, then it could be that the pin arrangement of the 4 terminals of the yoke were reversed. There would be two for the vertical and another two for the horizontal. Inverting on each pair wouold give the results that you have described.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
