hi, first of all you won't download the clips, but stream them to be able to be recorded... for that you need a fire wire cable to connect the cam to the PC... (assuming that the PC have an FW plug !) then you'll need a video editor software, like movie maker or premi?re the first is a minimalist and free, the second is a professional one and costs a lot... then after editing you'll have the option to burn a DVD or stream to youtube or whatever you wan to do with the final result... cheers mich

Have you checked if it has other connectors? Typically, it might have a 3mm round plug, that is the same as your 3mm headphone stereo plug socket. The one on my camera has this but is has 4 coaxial connections along the shaft, instead of the 3 that you would see on a headphone plug. You will then need a suitable cable which would have RCA plugs on the other end. Alternatively, check the manual. Remember, if you don't have a manual for it, just go onto the Sharp website, and download one. They usually have them available for free.

Moisture is an enemy of any tape based system. The moisture can cause the tape to "stick" to the rotating heads damaging both the tape and heads. This is why there is a "dew" sensor inside the tape compartment. The screen message indicates that the sensor has detected an excess mount of moisture and won't let the unit load a tape until the problem is cleared. Try leaving the unit open and pointing a hair dryer at it from a distance of about 12"-18". The warm dry air should remove any moisture that exists. Should this not resolve the problem, there is a defect in the sensor and it might need to be replaced.

Have you removed the tape? Remove it. Put in a new tape. If same remove tape Warm camera gently with a hair dryer and try to let it cool as slowly as possible.Try again with new tape.

This type of camera usually downloads better with a Firewire (DV) connection. Some mini-DV cameras only use the USB connection for stills (if they have one) and can only download video by Firewire. This is because you have to play the tape into the computer, not just copy a file.

Most PCs have a USB port, but no Firewire port. Macs often have a Firewire port but may not have USB. As most Windows PCs do not come with this interface, you might need to fit an add-on Firewire interface card. This will come with a driver for the card.

DEW means it's got damp inside the camera body and it must dry out. A warm setting on a hair-dryer (NOT TO HOT) should do or just leave the cassette housing ejected in a warm room overnight is best this should solve the problem. .

to low or medium heat and fast speed fan
and blow air inside all crack in body cam
and let it rest for a while..]
