this is easy these are bad moniters and are okay when you normal one blows up this is a known glitch with the series but of course im not going to be one of those critizisers that do not offer a resolution which leads me to the answear the resolution to remove it change the resolution if your using windows go to star>controlpanel>displays>resolution change it you might have to do it a couple of times and its not a full fix but its the only one

Tried switching it off at the mains? Have you spilt anything on the buttons?

I tried cleaning the plate as suggested but had the same problem. So I decided to see what would happen if I disconnected the button board all together. I haven't had a problem since. I don't know if this is a good idea or not but it worked for me. You need to make sure the monitor is in the on position before you do so. Since obviously you can't turn it on or make adjustments to the monitor afterwards but I never made any adjustments to it anyway.

It may be a bent or broken pin on the connector of the monitor cable. It should look like the attached photo. It could also be a damaged or worn cable. It's also somewhat possible that it's a problem with the PC, but I doubt it.
