Power supply cord
Any power supply providing 19V DC at 3 Amp with a positive tip connector will do.
Hope that helps.
Sound
there is nothing wrong with the speakers.
install the audio drivers from the mother board cd
Signal out of range?
Using your CRT, open the properties of the video adapter. Look for the refresh rate and set it to 60Hz. This should fix your problem.
Hope this helps, and please rate my advice, good OR bad.
Thanks, and good luck!
Power cord not working
If your power cord plugs in to the back of the monitor, then you can find one just about anywhere that computer stuff is sold, like Radio Shack and Wal-Mart. You might be able to be able to get one free from a locally owned computer repair place as they most likely have extras lying around. Doesn't hurt to call and tell them you need one. If you have to buy one, they aren't expensive, usually 5 or $10. Please let me know how it turns out!
Audio balance

Not all colors and images show on monitor
Sounds like the speed optimizer either from AOL or in your browser settings that is not allowing your "Pictures" to be downloaded and seen. Try turning off the speed optimizer in aol or reinstalling the drivers for the Video Adapter. To do that right click my computer/left click Properties/ left click hardware/ left click device manager/ left click the small plus box in the display adapter/ highlight the display adapter and click update driver in the upper icon box. When the option comes up use the bottom option select a driver myself, click the bottom option again and select it from a list, then install the one that comes up in the white box. that will reset the video driver to the default settings. Hope this helps. Chuck

Balance Monitor
Same exact thing has happened to me. We have determined that the monitor itself is good, but the DC adaptor is what went bad. Now I am on the hunt for the power adapter.
Monitor problems
Assuming we're talking about a CRT and you have already turned up the contrast and brightness, then the following should help. Take off the rear cover, and look for the flyback transformer. It will have a single wire about 1/4" thick (and usually red) running to the top of the picture tube and will have a suction cup there. On the the bottom and on the side of the flyback, look for 2 or 3 knobs that have a place for a Phillips screwdriver in the middle of them. One of them will be marked "Screen". I recommend using a screwdriver-it's more precise than using your fingers to turn this up (to the right) to increase the brightness, but beware: turn it just a little bit at a time. Going too far may burn out critical circuitry. It is safe to do this with the cover off and power on as long as you're using an plastic handled screwdriver and keeping your hands away from anything else. There's about 50,000 volts in the wire to the top of the tube, so there's no point in taking chances. Good luck!!
Power Source Monitor
Hi
You can get another power supply at any of the computer retail stores for $40-$50. Pls take you comp's power source to the store as they come in different sizes and not all fit your comp.
My balance technology monitor
Following up to my last question, assuming that your system DOES turn on and boot up, try this:
Click Start
Click Help and Support
Under Pick a Task, click System Restore.
Choose to the Restore uption and then the last date a system restore was done (it will be in bold numbers) and follow the prompts to finish using the next button. This can be undone if it doesn't work by following the same steps again as the computer automatically set a System Restore Point whenever this procedure is done.
Good luck!
Balance monitor all color flushes and flashes with pic host link
Sounds like the lcd on your monitor is bad. This link shows how to replace one:
http://www.fonerbooks.com/laptop_4.htm
The link shows a laptop, but it's pretty much the same as with your monitor. The hard part is finding a replacement lcd to put in there. My advice would be to buy a new monitor.
