Shaking Monitor
I had the same problem when I reached in back of my pc and disconnected a web cam from a usb port. Them my monitor started shaking and i thought it was related to the web cam unplugging from the usb. I tried uninstalling my video card driver, and re-installing. Still no fix for the shake. So i tried turning off the monitor, and removing the monitor cable from the back of the pc. I re-attached the monitor cable, and powered on the monitor. Bam! No more shaking, all was good with monitor picture. The problem is, and was, as i unplugged the web cam usb plug from the usb port, i bumped into the monitor cable near where it plugs into the pc port. The problem is that there is a weak solder joint in the motherboard in the video card holder socket. I will need to either find the weak solder joint, and fix it, or replce the motherboard. I have a older dell antique dimension 8100 that i still like. It is the original motherboard and it is from 2002. I know i should replace this old pc, but i have done a lot of upgrades on it, and has been a great old pc. After shelling out over $2,000 for this unit in 2002, i want to keep running it. It does all i need to do. They don't build pc's this solid anymore. I hope this helps someone. Thank you!
