Click on ' Download the document '.Once clicked, it would take you to the next page.Go for option 2 where you need to enter the correct string and click on ' download now '. Once done, a pop up would be there. Save it on the desktop. You need to have acrobat reader to view the file.

Connect the camcorder on your computer. Copy the files on your hard-drive or you can copy it straight to a blank DVD if you have a DVD-writer. Just repeat it again to have 2 copies.

how many gb is your card? whats the size of the card shown on the computer? any past experience with redundancy error when extracting data from the card?

The problem is in the lens housing, and yes it is the shutter. To have it fixed will involve considerable expense providing parts are available.

It may be a simple problem but don't try anything yourself since it could make things worse. Take it to a service centre.

Some of the reasons that your cassette is not falling into the tray in the correct order.
1. Possible that the loading arms have been jammed, struck and have not returned to base to be parked in the correct slot. If so there is malfunction of the loading arms, the motor drive or the movement of the arms. you will need to check this out only if you are able to remove the tray and check into the mechanism.

2. Possible that the tray is out of alignment, possible that the tray alignment has changed due to damage in the tray support.

3. Possible there are foreign material within/under the tray that is causing the tray from locking down. Please check with good light inside/under the tray.

4. finally make sure that the cassette is good and is not having any stickers or attachments on its sides.

Your local camera shop will sell you a head cleaner. It looks just like a cassette, but it has brushes inside that brush magnetic particles from your camera's record heads.

If you can't find the manual on Canon's website it's probably not a good idea to go elsewhere. Your best bet is to send it in to Canon and have their techs repair it.
