Sony VAIO PCG-TR3AP1 Notebook - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
PCG-TR3A PROBLEM! NEED HELP NOW!
I would not take any chances. You might damage it or erase something important. Bring it to a computer center to have them professionally troubleshoot it. They can tell you the cause and how to prevent this from happening again. It may just be a simple fix. It may be worth it to have a piece of mind. Try BestBuy. Good luck!

My laptop comes on, and
If the invertor was faulty you would get a picture on the external monitor, assuming that the external monitor and the laptop was configured to work. Check the Fn key and F5 at the same time. That should switch between internal/ external or both displays.
Hope that helps.

Will not boot into windows, just keeps restarting
You have by the description of it, a corrupt boot sector file.
When you boot and it gets to the POST point where entry to the BIOS is displayed, press F8.
I am assuming you run Win Vista or 7.
Choose Recovery from the menu and follow the prompts. As soon as you are in, run CHKDSK/F to fix any errors in the file directories.
Hope that helps.

- It smees your LCD is faulty.
- connect your laptop to a external monitor. Check if lines are visible or not.
- if no line are visible then need to change your LCD.
- for changing better to contact service centre.
- you can look for used LCD, which will be cheap.
