Error code F7 means that an error with the keypad has occurred. Usually it happens due to loose ribbon cable on the keypad or the electronic control assembly itself going bad. To resolve this issue first, disconnect the power to unit and then gain access to the back of the clock assembly (Electronic Range Control/ERC). Now unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC, it would be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide and make sure that the cable is not broken and nothing is shorted on the keypad. After this is done insert the cable back and then plug the unit back to check. If the error is still there then the electronic control board should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

This is a very popular problem with electronic control board. A power failure many times is together with voltage fluctuation and this is just the enemy of electronics. Despite the fact that you have only one small part gone bad in your electronic board and it keeps some factions working like clock, timer it cannot activated the heating elements for broil or bake and the solution is to replace the electronic board part no 2, Clock assembly
Part Number: AP4009004 made by WHIRLPOOL

The above part and all the other parts of your model can be found in the following link.

This is the code that indicates a shorted sensor, the sensor is a metal probe that comes in the oven from the back wall, it is a little smaller than a pencil.

It should have a couple screws holding it in

HI, You will need to check the oven sensor wires that link the actual sensor to the main control board. Make sure that the contacts are connected properly, and not loose, or corroded. If all the wiring checks out, test the sensor for the correct resistance readings.(you will need a multimeter for this test)

The most common oven sensor should be approximately, 1100 ohms when at room temperature. The others may be close to as follows:

100°F - 1143 ohms
200°F - 1350 ohms
300°F - 1553 ohms
350°F - 1654 ohms
400°F - 1753 ohms
500°F - 1949 ohms

If the sensor test is adequate, and the wiring is Ok at the control, this will lead to a failed control board. replace the control in this case.

Function key shorted or stuck
Replace touch pad or if touch pad is part of the clock, replace the clock (ERC).

That poof that you heard was a shorted wire. More than likely you would not see it, but there is wires behind it.I would say you tripped a breaker or blew a fuse. Did you put the screw back in it that hold it in. If not turn off breaker before you do. Do you have breakers or fuses.

This number - 8114P734-60 - is a part number (possibly for the tag it is on). It is not a model. Note: the part number does is not listed in any current parts lookups. Could be a non functioning number or too old to be listed.

I don't know. While half a century ago it was common that pilot lights would be permanently lit to provide instant lighting of oven and hobs, because they did consume a significant amount of gas they fell out of favour and spark ignition became reliable. Amid a number of related and unrelated accidents the gas oven began to be seen as potentially dangerous and so they were fitted with a couple of safety devices so for a considerable time the pilot light has to be relit every time the oven is used and the pilot light will be switched off when the oven burners are turned off. Thinking back a long time, the pilots of our old cooker could be turned off using a screwdriver to turn a central service valve hidden under the hob spill tray.
