can you hear the motor running inside the player ????
there is usualy a snall pin hole under the tray insert a paper clip into this hile and push it in if tray starts to auto open it might be just a dry set of rails
if rails asumed dry open unit and coat the rails with anti seize and try again with the switch on front cover

it might have died and gone to dvd heaven Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click to update driver you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd restart your computer then plug them back this should activate the found new hardware wizard if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SYSTEM

CurrentControlSet

Control

Class

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose DeleteAfter deleting the keys, close the registry editorReboot your computerOpen My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

try laser lens cleaner disc and blowing it out with air compresser,,or can of air,,,and taping on the side when disc put in

check the power cable that have signal or not.it have 4 colorful wire.then if it was ok,maybe ur drivehave some special problem in is connector & in the inside board.it must check carefully.if u cant do it urself,send itto the seller or for repair

try cleaning the lens, if it fails then you will have to replace the lens

Can you just transfer your file/s to a flash drive? Or there's issue of different version of office between two computers. Say your using office 2007 and save it on higher version, then the other computer uses office 2003.

Check whether the discs you are using are compatible with the machine. I've just had the same problem using 8x DVD+R DL (Double Layer) discs, and after checking the users manual found that the machine only supports 2.4x DVD+R DL. I am now trying to find out if there is some sort of firmware upgrade available.

in the manual does it describe how to reset to manufactory defaults and have you got your hook-up to your digi box via a fully wired scart if so this cable is causing double feed back wich means signal is senging info from dig box back to scramble setting use a one way signal scart to recorder this is the lead i use to eleminate settings from being scrambled and a clear signal from dig box this is also updates time automaticly when you get back to settings menu turn off auto clock set this will stop time from going on 1 hour hope this will help

Why do they need to be turned on all the time? If your using them as security cameras they are not designed for that job. The 330 could be overheating because of the constant use. Some cameras have a built in 'Overheat' switch which could be switching it off. These cameras are designed for short periods of use, recording things like parties and holiday trips. How old are these handycams? These do get old and the technology in them can wear out if in constant use.
