Forgot the password of my sony external hard disk I forgot the password of my sony hard external disk and I don't know what to do

go to desktop my computer the right click press manage the then allocated unallocated drive

Download the "password protection manager" software from the Sony website. When installed it will detect your Sony External hard drive.

What OS are you running? Vista? windows 7? Man I hate that password protection script. Try running it another PC to see if it's an internal issue with the external HD and not you PC's OS. If it's allowing the process to start then obviously the password hasn't been tampered with and is probably a driver issue. Check for updates from Sony or contact their tech support.

Download the latest software for your drive from Sony website.
