Activesync

Do you have it set up where the computer file always overrights the pocket pc files? If you do it would result in losing all information input on the PDA. Typically you would set it so that the last version overights the prior version. That way updates on the computer overight the PDA's old info and vice versa. The only time there is an issue is when both are updated before syncing, then you are prompted which to use. That's the first think I'd check.

Some keys don't work on my laptop computer

You've tried HP troubleshooting, reinstalling the keyboard driver, and maybe even DISM to no avail. Some keys no longer work. You can seek professional help and discover you will be paying a couple of hundred dollars at best or for about $13 use a cheap workaround. Go buy a wired USB external keyboard and plug it into a USB port. Extend that keyboard's legs and place it on the surface of your laptop over your laptop's keys. Even if you have a touchpad, it remains in reach below this external keyboard. The missing keys work on the external board. Why? Becuase the board has its own IC keyboard controller chip. Of course, you could try tracking down a compatible HP keyboard assembly and replacing the keyboard but even though such may contain the controller connector, it won't contain any soldered in IC controller chip if that is the cause of the problem. But you might just find the keyboard controller connector is damaged and such replacement with a steady hand and proper grounding could work. Still, for $13, this tip certainly offers a cheap workaround. If you can get Bluetooth to pair a wireless keyboard to your latop, you could opt for that. But this plug and play work around could save you hours of frustration and hundreds of dollars. Bear in mind, this is not about stuck keys but rather damage to keyboard internals, maybe accidentally occuring during a battery swap by "disturbing" a keyboard connector or damaging an iC chip.

Connected X2gen MW19A monitor to laptop w/bad screen. VGA to HDMI port w/adapter & plugged in & a green light is blinking just above a power symbol on monitor. On standby? No power button to turn ON?

More than likely if the monitor is a lot newer, it is not backwards compatible with your laptop. Take a look at the function keys for the display key and toggle it on/off to see if it will pick up the dignal from the VGA socket.

I need to know how to turn on a HP X13-04657 LAPTOP, all the lights are on but nothing on the screen.

HP X13-04657, is 2007 PC THOSE this PC has CCFL back lamp strip that is dead.Vista era PC, laptops. are hard to work with now, 17 years old.is this not a HP COMPAQ presario HP X13-04657 (wrong name!) sorry !became HP in 2002. so is HP but manuals are super hard to find now. that x13 is part of the microsoft license code vista. (so is distraction to what it is)the real name of the Laptop is and was Presario CQ61 laptop CQ61 the PC has bottom sticker that shows the real names of PCs.CQ61-219TU is real name of on CQ61, there area many different sub codes, and they are not all the same.CQ61-306AX this had CCFL (cold cathode florecent lamps) that love to fail 3 waysdead, blinks ,dime or yellow = white.was made until 2009 and evolved, to LED backlamps.-410 is CCFLI will answer for CCFL as those just love to fail, but the the test is so easynow the answer for ANY laptop this old. 2007 and older. black screen all the time, and BIOS screens dead, answers only me. here. remove the main battery (large) it simply snaps off the bottom.the power pack is next we run the PC on your power pack AC to DC it must make the screen glow with something, do not use the wrong pack as in mixed up with others.now the lap top seems on, even the fan blows, LED glowpoint a flash lamp at the screen ,dark' room , and of you see any kind of LCD data on the screenthe CCFL lamp below #1 is bad.this is phase 1 testing, as other things can fail too. The keyword below is Mercurythis tells me it is those pesky CCFL glow tubes. 2007 is the year some PC went to LED back lamps. yes I was correct the service manual I did find proves they made both lamp types ccfl-hp07-psnmcz4s4yabbrmds04n13cd-d-0.jpg
