Startup shutdown

a new battery tried yet, battery tests , with a volt meter only show if cells are shorted, or low charge state (SOC) only load tests on battery show weak cells. the top failure on something like this is the battery. unless dropped.(and any fail possible) HP has a real forum. why not ask there. but battery, is top suspect https://h30434.www3.hp.com/

I want to connect my

You should have a usb cable that either come with your Pocket Pc or you may have to buy one, so both machines can connect to eachother. Also if you have any software you will need to install this.
Hope this helps

Palce where to insert sim card

It's not a phone. It's a pocket PC.
CAUTION: For synchronization to work properly, install Microsoft
ActiveSync on your personal computer before you connect your
iPAQ Pocket PC to your computer.
To install a CompactFlash (CF) or Secure Digital (SD) card into
an expansion slot on the iPAQ Pocket PC:
1. Locate the appropriate slot on the top of the iPAQ Pocket PC.
To identify slot locations, refer to the Getting Started
document that came with the iPAQ Pocket PC.
2. Before inserting a CompactFlash (CF) card into the CF
expansion slot, pull the plastic slot cover from the CF slot.
3. Insert the expansion card into the appropriate expansion slot
and push the connection edge of the card firmly into the
expansion slot.
✎If your expansion card is not recognized, follow the card
manufacturer’s instructions to install it.
✎For more detailed help, refer to the Help files installed on your
iPAQ Pocket PC. From the Start menu, tap Help > Connections.
✎To prevent power loss, remove any expansion cards from either
the CF or SD expansion slots before turning off the iPAQ
Pocket PC.

Unresolved items

This is more of an ActiveSync problem than an iPaq problem. Don't you just click "Resolve items" and ActiveSync either updates your handheld or the PC depending on which one you choose to get precedence?

Bluetooth problem

If I understand your setup, the computer's got the internet connection, and you want to bluetooth your wife's iPaq to the computer and through it out to the internet? And you've managed to pair the iPaq and the computer? Have you set up a pass-through relationship on the computer using ActiveSync? Good luck.

Does the ipaq 2215 work with Outlook 2002?

Active Sync will work with many version of outlook. Your PDA interfaces with Active Sync. Certain versions of Windows Mobile software and/or PDA's require higher versions of active sync to sync correctly.

Media player 9 on ipaq 2215

A hard reset will get it back for you, but you will lose your data. So either backup first, then restore it. Or sync to PC and back if it's just OUTLOOK data.

Unresolved Items when synching

Try the following.... Open Active sync on your PC. Double Click on Calendar. Change the settings such that it syncs only 0 past and 0 future appointments. SYNC (this will clear all calendar items on the IPAQ) Now go back in to those Calendar settings, and set it back to the default which is 2 past weeks and All Future appointments. SYNC (this will now reload all appointments into your Ipaq)

H2215 Blutooth Radio failed to turn on

The problem was in the HP ProtectTools security aplication. After disable the aplication and do a hard reset the bluetooth works. I had see that after the hard reset begins a process where some HP software are installed again. One of these software is the Broadcom driver of the Wifi/BT (You can see it for two seconds in the top bar). I think that the ProtectTools blocks some file upgrade (DLL, Exe, config file, etc.) that causes the problem. After solve the problem I have restored a full system backup done before disable the ProtectTools and do the hard reset, and all still works fine. I hope this can help you.
