I am guessing that you have made sure that it is fully charged. If it is, since you have only had it a week I would try a hard reset. I don't know if the 3115 has them but check to make sure that any battery door lock switches are locked.

Its the battery. Do a hard reset and if that doesn't fix the problem, then its time for a new battery.

Make sure that there is a hot spot around that is unsecured for free access. If not, you'll have to get an access code. A wireless router works best.

I had the same problem. I installed something that was supposed to help me connect faster, but it messed up my whole system. I hard reset it and tried it out with the new router we got. I turned on the wi-fi and it asked me if I wanted to connect. Ever since it works.

Probably the touch panel on the LCD screen is damaged.

Battery is dead. You have to replace the battery and possibly the backup 3v battery if this model has one.

These batterys are sold by HP and for most models you can find them from ebay

hi i am also having problems with my nashi, when i put songs on it says file empty when i try to play them??? they are on the e drive when i plug it into the computer but when i try to play them it doesnt work??

The pc clock needs to be set to daylight savings time. To do this right click on the time on you pc go to the time/clock settings and then click on the time zone tab and below the clock is the box that says automatically adjust for daylight savings time make sure that is checked and then re-sync the iPAQ.

So far no fixes. It's just been collecting dust. I think it's a screen response issue, and will probably cost more to fix than to replace (at least for me) in my situation. I'm thinking iPhone....

You don't have to crack the screen if it is LCD. The "bleeding into the screen" and "black lines" could be symptoms of leaking liquid from the damage/impact of being dropped. Where you send it for repairs would depend on the manufacturer, the store you bought it from, and if you have a service plan or not.

Had the same problem with my hp rx3115 . Worked fine, then the next day dead. power button, lower buttons, or outter reset button didn't work to turn it on. Okay so, i thought it just needed to recharge. Used computer cable for active synchronizing that also recharges, still dead. Then cable just for recharging. Finally comes on. Charged it all the way up, synchronized it, unplugged it, few minutes......dead. The battery is no good.

how much did you pay for this pda? did you buy it recently? Is it brand new or are you the second owner?

I had a similar experience. My device would not charge via the usb charger so I connected it to my wall charger and it charged successfully.

the name of the device is only what you want to call it, eg instead of ipaq call it tropflor, it's only a name in which the device is recognised by other devices and for sync purposes, but as in a pc, always back up your contacts and files, as pocket pcs are more likely to crash.

To execute a hard boot on the iPAQ rx3115, the manual says to "while pressing the two outside buttons on front of iPAQ, press the recessed reset button on bottom." Hope it Helps... Wirzan

What about your desktop pc? Have you checked the services on it to make sure it is not broadcasting DHCP? Also, think about switching over to Stealth Mode (Non-broadcast SSID) instead of MAC filtering. MAC filtering can be cummbersome and if it is just you, then do away with it.
