Need to transfer files from the Hx4705 main memory
Go to 'Start > Programs > File Explorer'. Chose the directory containing the file you want to copy by tapping the application's top bar. Tap and hold the file to be copied, until a context menu pops up. Select 'Copy'. Now, choose the Storage Card from the top bar. Once there, tap on 'Menu > Edit > Paste'. Your file should be copied.
Hope it works for you.
Cheers!

Ipaq bios upgrade
try a hard reset. hold down green and red and power same time push the reset button located by the charging port
PDA stops during Bios upgrade
If you have tryed hard reseting it then
You need to get your hands to a working flash of your pdas operateing system, can be hard to find, I was lucky I found many for mine.
After you have the software and the tools needed, most likely the software will have instructions so it shouldnt be hard to do.
After a successfull reFlash of the operateing system everything should be fine.
If you where playing with the bios you need to flash a working version to it. If you cant do it youself I recommend takeing it to a professional, the bios chip can be hard to reprogram.
Dropped; now dead
You will have to open up the PDA case and take out internal battery (round one). It might just need to be replace or resitted. Next time, backup your data to a memory card.
File Transfer
Use file explore option in Activesyn or just use a SD card reader to transfer music, pictures, etc. to the card. It's much faster & easier.
Totally Dead
I had the same issue. Got it fixed at PPCTechs at $60 + shipping. Better than buying a new device

Pda grrr help
Hi frogger,
It could be a lot of things but if its brand new (less than a few days) save yourself the time and potential future problems by returning to the place of purchase. Explain your experiences and they will swap it out with another new unit or at least a reputable reseller will. If you get the runaround by a clerk ask for the dept manager....
Good luck and let us know what happens.
Is an audible alarm software available?
I'm not sure of the HX4705's capabilities to sound multiple alarms, but I have downloaded a free alarm program called Wolfclock to my iPaq rz3715 which I use for the exact same reasons (meetings, wake up, take medication...)

WIFI w/WEP
Hi,
I use 128 wep at home with no problem.
A couple of points:
1) NEVER use the 'phrase' option.
2) Always type out the key in UPPER case, everywhere. On the iPaq, on your router, everywhere. It is NOT supposed to make a difference when you enter a hex key, but some hardware will see 'a' and 'A' as different. A sample key would be: 1234567890ABC1234567890ABC1234567890ABC
3) Alway
s do a 'battery reset' after configuring the adapter. That is, pull the battery for 10 seconds and then put it back in. A soft reset does not reset the WiFi hardware. You will not lose any data (this is NOT a hard reset).
Additional Programs on Ipaq 4705
Unfortunately these programs cannot be removed as they are flashed in ROM. These programs are also reloaded whenever you happen to perform a hard reset.
