those typewriters have a contact built into the keyboard flexible circuit it needs replaced if you can find one

Sorry but this is not a fixable problem because the parts for it are no longer made.

if you switch on cant hear the motor drive whirring nothing works plug to the wall faulty power source had it would say needs a replacement a service or an upgrade

try a new ribbon cartridge it that don't work it is most likely a bad hammer solonoid

could be the lid open or a bad lid switch or even a bad controle board
