Miele G851 SC intake/drain light flashing
Hi Dadcar,
Your main wash pump has seized (or stuck). Disconnect machine from power & water, Tip machine on its back. Remove screws that hold the bottom tray on. Remove hoses to main motor, remove electrical connections & remove motor (one screw that holds motor is actually on the outside back of the machine(you will see what I mean). Try to rotate (unstick) the motor (this can sometimes be done by spraying a bit of WD40 and trying to rotate the impellor with a pencil (careful not to break any of the fins on the impellor. If you cannot rotate it, then a new motor will be required. Replace back in machine in reverse to removal.

PS Whilst you haven't used the machine very much, this in itself is a problem and can cause motors & pumps to stick, and seals to perrsh. Try to use the machine at least once a month.

make sure you are not using too much detergent. no more than 2 teaspoons. try running the unit with no detergent a few times. if problem still persists then check the door seal or remove the door panel and make sure the overflow tray running along the base of the door where the hinges are is not blocked with food. also check the door is closing enough to seal,the door latch may have moved. check the tightness of the screws

Intake drain light on
Hello & Welcome to FixYaThe problem is with clogged drain filter pump assembly, you can take it apart from the bottom to clean the drain filter pump assembly. After you have cleaned it completely then turn the selector switch to STOP/END or press the START/STOP for 20 seconds. After you have done all this unplug the appliance for 5-10 minutes and plug it back to solve this problem. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.Kevin

If you have
already cleaned the drain filter pump assembly located inside the bottom access
panel completely and you are sure that it is not overflowing due to a bad float
switch assembly located inside the bottom panel next to the pump then yes the
recommended repair will be replacing the drain pump assembly. Please get back

Sounds like the timer is sticking. If you had a manual timer I would tell you to advance manually, but you don't. One I can tell you, try turning off the power to it.
