I have searched casio and various old manual sites and at this point have found the following manual to be as close to what you are looking for among a multitude of variations. It is not a problem to find a manual to a FX-82C or FX-82AU but the A variation has eluded me:
http://casio.edu.monacocorp.co.nz/products/fx82ausplus/pdf/Using_2082AU_20PLUS_20manual.pdf
Notice that this comes from a New Zealand site. It makes me wonder if AU might relate to Australia. Only Casio support would know for sure.
Found the manual but nothing about the sound.
If I recall sometimes the part that makes the sound can be damaged when replacing the battery, open it up and check the (little wire type vibrating bar) sound bar and adjust if necessary.

The battery that came out of it will have a number/voltage on it... just replace it with same..
If this isn't possible, take the watch to Batteries.bulbs, etc,, they can fit it with one.
Hello Michel Dekock,
Could not find your FR2500 (but close)...
Has worked every time for me...
Mount the paper roll on the wire bracket... feeding
over the top of the ROLL (TOWARD THE MACHINE).
With the keyboard FACING away from yourself
Fold the FRONT EDGE of the PAPER on to the
side to form a chisel point... and insert the point
(folded side up) in the rear roller slot (paper feed)...
As shown on FR2650http://www.ebay.com/itm/Casio-FR2650TM-Printing-Calculator-FR2650TM-/122298781152?hash=item1c79934de0:g:bwEAAOSw44BYbWjv
With the PRINT feature turned on the roll should be
advancing while holding down the TOTAL key...
Hold the key until the edge of the paper roll emerges from the machine.
Hope that helps.
(now you only have to freshen up the ink).
