SD.MS/Pro.MMC.SM.XD card slot not reading cards maybe i turned it off by mistake? how do you check? what can i do to check the card reader?
Right click on my computer,click on properties,Click on Hardware Tab,Click on Device Manager tab.Here u can find ur multimedia reader.If it is disabled it shows red cross on it.Or if it is not installed it shows yellow exclamatory sign on it.

This problem is easy to solve. Just insert the installation CD that came with your HP printer into your computer when prompted to insert a CD. The file will be downloaded automatically.

Hi, How can I activate the vertical scroll zone? Running Vista Ultimate.

you can activate this by
1. going to the control panel on your vista machine, make sure you are in classic view
(2) double click the mouse icon.
(3) From here you will select the "Device Settings" tab,
(4) make sure your Synaptic Pointing device is highlighted and then click the settings button located directly below the "port" column, this will bring up properties for this device.
(5) With all categories in the left hand column collapsed, select "Virtual Scrolling" here is where you will find the box that needs to be checked to enable vertical and/or horizontal scrolling.
(6) make sure the "Enable Vertical Scrolling" box is checked.
(7) don't forget to hit apply!
I hope this helped some people. I am using a HP dv7 so your menu may look a little different. Happy holidays.

My laptop is not booting up. When I turn it on, the top row of indicator lights (volume control, wireless enabled, etc) all light up, and the hard drive starts up. Then after about 2-3 seconds the hard drive powers back down, and the caps lock and scroll lock indicator lights blink 4 times in a row, then stop blinking for 5-10 seconds, the light patterns then repeat themselves over and over again.
Compaq and Hp are having issues with several models, My wife just got hers repaired free out of warranty. Go to copaqs website, look up your model and see if it is one they are offering free one time repairs on. Wife's computer was doing same thing, they replaced the motherboard. Took about 2 weeks round trip . Good luck

I have a hp dv4125us and it is enabled with drivelock. I know the password but wnt to disable this feature as if i forget my psswrd, the hd will be of no use. How to disable the harddisklock BY KNOWING THE PASSWORD.??????????
Hi you can disable drivelock by entering system bios and security settings. Please read the notes below and remember you can only do when starting the pc and not when you're restarting.
DriveLock passwords Enable/disable DriveLock; change a DriveLock
user or master password.
✎ DriveLock Settings are accessible only
when you enter Computer Setup by turning
on (not restarting) the computer.

it says autocad already installed, though there is nothing in add or remove program. cant even restore system as its a new laptop so there is no earlier restore point
My Dear! Go to start then click and open Run type in regedit then open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE click on software find the software name such as Autocade delete their registry file. After deletion you should restart your computer and reinstall the autocade. I hope your problem will be solved.
